That depends on how you use the phone. The battery is a pretty decent size (4000mAh), so it can't be that bad. Based on the second review below, it may be pretty decent as a media consumption device in airplane mode.

"The Samsung Galaxy A51 has a fairly large 4,000mAh battery. With a low-powered CPU and a small amount of RAM, you'd hope the device would get killer battery life. And honestly, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't as great as it should have been. The phone lasted about 29 hours, from 8AM one day to 1PM the next day. This certainly isn't as good as phones with much bigger batteries, but I'm glad it can at least last a full day. I got about four and a half hours of screen-on time on this device."

Another review:

"Battery life is also on par between the two phones. Both come to around 16 hours in a looping video test in airplane mode, with more lab tests on their way. The Galaxy A51 lasted about 20 minutes longer than the SE in this test."

Got this for $50 after cash back and coupon from HSN earlier this week. Out for delivery today. Looks like a decent device as a backup phone and for consuming media. It may be one of the cheapest phones with an OLED Display.

Looks like you can only have it unlocked after 12 months of service. I intend to activate it and keep the line alive till I get it unlocked in 1 year.

Phone has serious battery limitation. For my use it could not run even for a day.

Repped. BTW I barely get a day even with it's inbuilt battery saver permanently on. Maybe it would be good idea to keep packaging intact for first few days and experience the usage just in case if it is unbearable then can easily be returned.

Thanks! I think my total with tax was $54, and at that price, I just bought one as a toy and as a test device for mobile web and app development. It is unlikely I will ever use it as my main device. I have never seen an OLED display at this price point in a device though (not counting contract subsidized devices), and the 6.5" screen is big enough for it to be a decent device to watch videos or play simple games.

Btw, I forgot to mention that the price I paid at HSN also included a year of service with (1500 mins text and mb of data).

is that 1500 minutes, text, and data every month or is that all you have for the whole year?

Yep, for the entire year, but extra voice/data is avialble.

How did you get this price? The offer was for $108, and they had $20 off coupon, so $88+tax - 10% cashback

Whole year. Can't expect 1500 a month, plus the phone for that price.

I think HSN had a referral promotion $50 off $100. Not sure if coolcoder went with this.

Yes, referral coupon $50 off $100. Plus 5% back Paypal/Chase + 10% Rak10. Total out of pocket was $54 with tax. Placed a second order from my wife's account, but didn't realize that her paypal was defaulting to her checking account, so lost out of the 5% Paypal, but total still was $57.

One of the phones was delivered today. Going to open and activate it now.
