It is, bar none, the ideal form factor for mobile gaming. It has the best connection (USB-C) and allows for passthrough charging, which is super convenient.
BUT it makes my hands hurt. It's so cramped and uncomfortable to use. It is physically painful to play game. But there's no better option on Android. iOS had the Backbone, which is amazing, but this is as good as it gets on Android, unless you want to try a regular controller with a clip, which is just so inconvenient.
My S21+ with Spigen case did not fit. It wasn't worth it to take the case off every time for short gaming sessions - especially after almost dropping the phone a few times. My Oneplus 6t with OEM case also did not fit - although just barely.
Good controller though. Pocketable and USB-C is great. I have a DS4 I'm using now but would love something like a 8bitdo SN30 that is more portable.
