The U6GR5 uses a different panel and electronics than the U6G. Same panel manufacturer but different specs, see here [reddit.com] and here [reddit.com].
Rtings has also stated [rtings.com] that the U6GR5 is a "different TV" than the U6G they previously reviewed and have purchased this U6GR5 and is in their queue for a future review.
Lots of reports of halo effect from the FALD.

Best Buy lists it as the same u6g tv but with Roku instead. It's a winner since I prefer Roku as the tv os and just ad a google tv box on anyway

But if you go to Hisense's website and view the specs for the 65u6gr5, it clearly says the TV has a 3 year warranty.

Last year this time (black friday/cyber monday) i bought a 65" Samsung TU7000. I expected the TV to be decent since i wasn't buying the absolute cheapest. I believe there was a 70" of lesser quality, for cheaper at the time. It ended up having some odd purple hue/halo on white backgrounds. I ended up returning it for a refund.
I wound up with a 55" TCL 4-series for $200. It has some red ghosting during certain scenes. But, for the price i paid, i'm willing to live with it.
TV's have to be one of the most difficult things to shop for and compare besides mattresses. You can't blindly trust any certain brand. Panels, features, firmwares, etc. change multiple times a year. Entire series that once were highly recommended can silently fall out of grace overnight.
My recommendation is buy at a brick and mortar store (or online with the option to return at B&M) and be willing to either accept any possible issue(s) or return the TV if you can't live with it.

The moment he changed the content, I was so disappointed. The picture looked dull compared to the other TVs. Also, most importantly the picture was not sharp AT ALL.
I do understand we can tweak some of the settings - still I was not convinced that it could improve that much.
I do agree the other TVs were priced higher - and I honestly believe the price difference is worth to go for a better TV - particularly if this is going to be used on a daily basis.
