I've been using the QC 35s for years, and the most important upgrade of the 45s for me is the "aware" mode. The 35s only let you turn off noise canceling which still resulted in not being able to hear much around you.

I work from home with my wife, and have young kids who might cry at night and I appreciate being able to actually hear them now!
Ah i didnt realize that the "Ambient" mode referred to Aware mode which is similar to Transparency mode on Airpods.

That is a huge feature by itself, coupled with the ones listed above should push anyone to spend the extra $100

To me the biggest feature is the USB-C charging port as Micro-USB ports (esp if you are rough plugging/unplugging) are known to fail regardless of the device.

Glad you like the QC45 - keep telling myself i dont need these headphones with 2 sets of Airpods and an HD58x haha but Slickdeals feeds the beast of unnecessary purchases

this is definitely not better than the older QC 35ii. this requires you to have noise cancellation on before I can be used

Anyone know if the mic works on Linux? Or if there's workarounds to get it to work. Could never get the XM3 mic to work on linux

I've had the Bose QC35 II for a couple of years. I bought them because I travel quite a bit for work and being able to tune out others on planes and shuttles was great. I've had airpod pros gen 2 and now I have the Beats Fit Pro. The beats hands down beat both the AirPods and the Bose headphones. Both in sound quality and noise cancelation. The Bose pads are nice but even after a few hours my ears would be sore. The Bose also didn't have the best NC. For $300 I felt let down. I'd wear them at work with NC on high and still could hear my typing or coworkers chatting next door.

The AirPods were great but lacked sound quality for listening to music or movies. They also never felt locked in to where I'd feel comfortable wearing them while doing yard work or work around the house. I'd always check them to make sure they weren't falling out. Once I put the beats in they're locked in. I don't feel the need to check them and they haven't fallen out once. I got them on a whim last week after reading a favorable review. I have to say Im very happy with them and I'd recommend them to anyone wanting good sound, great noise cancelling, and comfort.

i just bought these from amazon two days back, my main purpose is to use it with Teams and zoom calls
it wont connect to your pc for sure windows 10, the only way i made it by using a stupid $70 bose bluetooth adapter to my pc.
but once it gets connected it was nice and peaceful for calls, but people were only able hear me properly when i switch to quiet mode ,in comfort mode i need to shout or speak loud.
i connected to two different devices my pc and my iphone,it was switching fast between devices, but when i am still on my teams call if i get any call on my phone its switching to my iphone, this is something useless i felt
You probably have other reasons why you had to go with Bose Headset but if your main use case is for Teams and Zoom calls then going with a UC headset might be your other option. And Jabra and Plantronics seem to have better headset options, I found they are also convenient and easy to operate.

i forgot to mention the main raise to go with bose was for noise canceling due to infant cry in my home , i heard bose had best noise canceling, i even tried microsoft surface 2 headphones and returned it back, they are too heavy and bulky

I tried Bose Bluetooth headphones, 35 model and found them to be pretty quiet and lacking the bass. Are these more of the same?

I recently shopped for headphones. Ended up choosing the 700. If you're interested in these 45s, make sure you read some reviews and do some research first

no problem - having owned a QC35II myself i was excited to see what Bose would have in store for it's next iteration

the regular price is a bit much over $300 but $280 seems fairly reasonable and comparable to the XM4, it's only real competitor in this market of ANC headphones - and to me the QC series are FAR more comfortable than either the XM3/XM4 or even the Airpods Max.

Ive stopped using over the set headphones all together and rotate between Airpods 3rd Gen and Airpods Pro since i mainly use them for watching TV.

Once you experience spatial audio while watching a movie/tv show with Dolby Atmos sound it's hard to go back - unless you have a serious sound system set up.

For regular music i use a USB-C DAC and a pair of HD58x if i want to get the full experience of listening to lossless / HQ music tracks
If you're audiophile leaning, I would NOT get these. These have the usual v-shaped sound signature but with an extreme boost in the treble region. You can hear the sizzle in Oluv"s sound demo's below.

I have a pair of these and the noise canceling feature is really wonderful for plane travel.

Did they get rid of the velour patch at the top of the inside of the headband?
