I think he was just telling him that if he's a non gamer then no need to spend the extra few bucks for refresh rate and response time.

This is better than the Lenovo, I have both. This has HDR , 166hz and height adjustable. Definitely worth the price difference .

Does anyone else think the monitor looks like it's curved the wrong way? To me, it looks like the display curves outward even though it's flat. Extremely weird. Also can't get the motion blur to work. Maybe just a defective model?

Random question not really related to monitor. But I have a $300 Costco gift card coming in the mail. Could I buy this now and then do a return / rebuy with a gift card at the same price? I would rather use the gift card on this since it's a semi-large purchase.

I had this monitor about a month ago and returned it. There's a weird 3D effect in the corners that will make you lose your mind
I'm glad you said something, because I can see it too. It's like half the right most scroll bar disappears on a full screen window depending on the angle you look at it. For anyone else who was worried about it, I don't really mind it in use, and the gaming performance really puts my 2560x1080 75 hz IPS to shame. The final deciding factor for me was roughly the same real estate as the Samsung 49", but two of these cost half of the 49" super ultrawide. I really like these monitors!

I've been eyeing this monitor for a few days. Currently have 2X older Acer G236HL 23" monitors and am wanting to upgrade to dual 32" screens. The specs on this along with the price point are all appealing to me, but I am concerned regarding the ghosting/3D look people have mentioned. I mainly do graphic design (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) along with the typical web surfing, playing videos, some light gaming. Currently have a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti FTW 4GB video card, but am planning on building a new system once prices normalize hopefully next year.

I don't want to go under 32"-ish. Was hoping some other good deals would pop up for BF, but so far this one seems to be the best option given the size, refresh rate, response time, and that it's G-Sync compatible.

My question is would this be a good upgrade to meet my demands as well as future-proofing some for a few years, or are there better options in this price range? Thanks for any advice!

I bought this monitor and will be returning it. Long story short, it's a good monitor especially considering it supports G-Sync, HDR, has a high refresh rate (165 hz), and its at this low price. Gaming performance was good. I didn't notice any ghosting and if you've never used it before, G-Sync is awesome. I was playing 120+ FPS in Doom Eternal, Halo Infinite, and a few other titles, and it was very immersive.

Now here's why I'm returning it...

I already have an LG 27 inch 1440p IPS GSync monitor 144hz which is better in all regards. It costs about $50 more. I was curious if I would like 32 inch better. Turns out I don't.

1. The pixel density of 1440p at 32" is the same as 1080p at 24", so the sharpness suffers in comparison to a 27 inch 1440p. It's very noticeable comparing side by side. Text in particular is much more "pixelated" compared to the 27 inch. But if you're not used to the 27" 1440p pixel density, you'll probably think the picture is fine, which it is. If you like 1080p at 24 inch, this will look about the same from a shapness perspective... it will just be bigger! However, 27" 1440p is much sharper, and is the sweet spot for that resolution IMO. At 32 inches, 4k would be a better resolution in my opinion.

2. The "black 3D effect" is noticeable around the edges for sure. I got used to it quickly but it's definitely there. It's more noticeable if you sit close to the screen and work around the edges frequently. While gaming or videos, it was not noticeable.

3. The monitor seemed dim in comparison to the 27 inch. Maxing brightness helped but seemed like a crutch. I'm sure this is a VA vs IPS difference. For many people, this may not be noticeable, especially if this is their primary display.

4. Colors were not as vivid as the IPS. They seemed "washed out". Again, if this is your primary display, you may not notice this. In games, any perceived color issues were less noticeable.

5. 32 inch was just too big for me. I feel like if it was curved it, would have been better. But a flat screen a few feet from my face just seemed like I had to move my head too much to appreciate it. Note that I did enjoy it for working, but not as much for gaming.

That all being said, I think this is a good monitor. The stand is very nice and useful. I also don't think you'll find a better G-Sync monitor with this resolution and refresh rate for $250. If you're in the market for a 32 inch gaming and work monitor for $250 or less, I think this is a really good fit for you. But if you can spend even $25-50 more, and can tolerate a slightly smaller size, get a comparable LG 27 inch 1440p with G-Sync. It will be much sharper and more vivid.

I have been using this for a week now. I saw the deal with the Gigabyte M32Q was on sale for $359. via Amazon and Newegg. https://slickdeals.net/f/15452656-gigabyte-m32q-32-gaming-monitor-165hz-1440p-qhd-kvm-2560-x-1440-ss-ips-0-8ms-mprt-94-dci-p3-hdr-ready-freesync-premium-for-359-99-359-99#commentsBox

I just received the Gigabyte monitor today and set it up next to the LG. The Gigabyte is just a better monitor overall. IPS panel, the blacks look more black(strange when VA is supposed to be better), colors are more vivid, and the text is a lil more crisp. I like the LG for the price. Hard to beat a 1440p 32 inch display with the features it has for $250. But for $100 more the Gigabyte just looks better with everything. The LG isn't bad, I can live with it and not mind the small issues. I will probably end up returning this LG back to Costco. If anyone is in the market that wants a better everyday use monitor that also a gaming monitor, deff check out the M32Q. It is only a $100 more if you can afford it.
