Why does every phone deal require needing to sign up for some janky, second tier phone service then cancelling or something. The amount of weird contract loopholes in the phone biz game has gotten very old.

How are you getting these numbers?

I click on each phone separately and getting
12: 679
12 Pro: 849
12 Pro Max: 949
13 mini: 649
13: 749

13 Pro Max: 1049

I know Walmart will jack these prices up, but they have not been updated yet. Do you have inside info on what the actually prices will be on deal launch day?

Did you click on and put in your info to upgrade the line? That's when the price changes to what I believe NervousCreator881 listed as the prices. I only checked on the 12 Pro and the price changed to what NervousCreator881 shared.

Yes, I just did that for the 12 Pro for Verizon as an upgrade and it stayed at $28.30 for 30 months which comes out to 849. That's weird. Maybe they changed the prices back to the original since yesterday? I do hope it doesn't jump to 1049 on the 22nd. Charging full price plus $50 one full year after release is not cool.

I was also able to cancel the service in store and get the activation fee back. Had to go through the hassle of paying the final/first bill and then they refunded after 3 months though.

According to both AT&T and Verizon, it appears they each require 60 days on their respective services prior to unlock. Verizon says they will automatically unlock the device after 60 days of paid service, whereas it looks like AT&T requires the same and a device pay off in full if your device is financed. Unclear whether if Verizon will unlock your device after 60 days while still on device payments, but it seems so?

For either of AT&T or Verizon iphone variants, does anyone know which of the two would be preferable if I were to use it for a couple of months, unlock, and then bring to T-Mobile? TIA
