anyone has this? how is it? i am using Ring ..thinking to change. because Ring has subscription. not good.
I have several of the Eufy. It's pretty consistent. The wired ones are better than the battery powered because of the continuous recording. The battery only record events so if it misses some you're out of luck. They do catch most events but miss some depending on sensitivity. Overall we have the doorbell, security with sensors and 7+ indoor/outdoor cameras. All work together with the app and you can set different alarm/camera triggers for different modes. Only issue is if you have bad data connection it can be really slow to connect to cameras. On WiFi it's fast and the HomeKit cameras are fast to connect too.

cool.good to know. thank you.
and is $75 a good price for this outdoor/indoor cam??? or should i wait until BF?
the move to a magnetic base is a really odd one with these new Eufy cams, i don't get it... i have several Eufy Indoor 2K cams outside and they've held up well. the old Wyze V2s i had with magnetic bases could, if the wind was hard enough, get knocked off the magnetic base.

seems like a misstep to me...
I have a few of the indoor and outdoor 2k cameras. I agree the non-magnetic of the indoor is more convenient, BUT on 1 of the 3 indoor ones I have, the swivel became loose. It can't handle the angle I wanted without flopping over, so I had to switch it with another indoor camera so the broken one just looks straight. The outdoor 2k's magnet is pretty strong and stable, no issues with wind, and I live in a windy area.
So for roughly twice the price (~$40) you get a more stable mount, stronger casing, much longer cable, extra 32gb memory card, spotlight, color night vision, and waterproof.
Otherwise we do have an indoor 2k under our patio cover that is holding up well as our extra angle camera but we prefer the dedicated outdoor one for our main camera.
Lastly, the main draw for these wired ones are the continuous recording. The battery powered ones haven't been reliable in recording ALL events. We still use a few of the battery ones for the spots that can't be wired. Also, we have a backup battery/UPS attached to the homebase in case an intruder shuts the power and it will still record (vs the wired). Good to have a mix of both.

thanks for the detailed response.
yeah, i have 6 Eufy 2K Indoor cameras outside right now (obviously out of the elements) and 5 Wyze V2s that I haven't changed out yet in our animals coops/houses. the Eufy 2Ks were a great step up from the Wyze V2s, yeah it looks a lot better... but my god the app is 100x better.
i've recently been having some issues with 2 of my Eufy cameras not looping back on the memory card and only recording like 30min chunks... obviously it starting happening right when i wanted the cameras to look back at a bear trying to get into everybody's houses (he didn't luckily, we build stuff like a tank here to protect our residents.)
this prompted me to start looking at other options... i'll play with Blue Iris and use Eufy's RTSP link to record to my server, but i hear it's somewhat limited. so i also picked up a few ReoLink RLC-511WA cameras to play around with (also on sale at Amazon)... figure since the Eufy 2K outdoor is up in price, not really limiting myself to 40$ cameras anymore, so why not.

We have ours next to ambient light and the color night vision is a lot better than regular black/white night vision. Reference:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e...feH
