Hey just letting people know I have had this TV as a security camera monitor and picked it up for like $230 a year or two ago and have been very impressed. In today's overpriced TV market this is pretty decent.
These are slick deals?? This year's garbage black Friday TV deals would have been 99 bucks on any other black Friday.
Newsflash: there are chip and supply chain issues everywhere that will probably last years. This is sadly probably a great deal if you need/want something sooner than later.
Have also had older 5 series model as a computer monitor, works well, sleep function can be annoying does not turn back on with mouse/kb movement.

This TV works very well as a computer monitor. Supports 4:4:4 chroma for crispy text along with HDMI 2.0 for 60hz. A GT1030 can run 4k well.
Much better than meme ultrawides that cost twice as much for less screen space.

I've been using the older version of this as my work from home monitor for 2 years. It's great.

Also got in on the target deal last year, solid as a workhorse pc monitor for general office work; email, spreadsheets, PowerPoint. Really big workspace to have working files and video chat session going at the same time

This makes an amazing computer monitoring. I have 2 computers using them at my house. Would never go back to a smaller screen.
Did anyone find a way to get the TV to turn on and off automatically like a dedicated monitor would? Manually turning the TV on and off every time I use my computer would be annoying.

There's a sleep timer function, but since it's a TV there's not really a way to make it turn off by itself when it detects no signal...

But where did you find out that the 43" TCL S425 maybe using AUO panels?
I took the back panel off a 425 once, and the controller card was made by AUO
