Just to clutter the landscape a bit more, there's also a Chromecast plus HBOMax (3 free months) offer for something like $60 if I recall.

I have Chromecasts on all my TVs now, mainly to enjoy my huge photo collection on Google Photos. We don't think of the Chromecast as a movie casting device because, unless I'm missing something here--- with Chromecast, you have to stream the movie to your tablet or phone, then from there you can recast the film to the TV via the Chromecast. Is there a more direct way to do it?

And wasn't GoogleTV a hardware-based streaming box (Google's swing at Roku) that got killed off a few years ago?
