i am waiting for 11" keyboard as well, but i think the reasoning is probably that 11" is more popular than 12.9", therefore no need to have clearance as the 11" can also be used on the current iPad Air and iPad Pro while the 12.9" is only used on iPad Pro and there could be excess inventory.

This is some BS. I have an alert setup within Slickdeals specific to an 11" Magic Keyboard. Since then, I've received no less than three separate notices, each time I've been excited only to be let down by YET ANOTHER 13" sale.

Please have mercy on us 11" IPP owners refusing to pay $300 for a keyboard!!!!

Question for the 11 inch users. Do you have any regrets not getting the 12.9. Plan on getting a iPad Pro for writing. Curious if the 11 inch would not be recommended for my situation. Would prefer the 11 inch for the price point.

11 and new mini user here. Not really, I think the 11 is a good balance between usability and functionality. I use mine mostly for reading papers and media consumption while moving around the house and at the office. Bought my 11" keyboard the week of release at MSRP and do not regret it one bit. Tried the 12.9 a few times at the apple store, it is just too big for a handheld tablet. If I want a bigger screen to look at that has a keyboard, there's laptops and my desktop. I've also had my ipad mini for a couple of weeks and i'm honestly spending most of my ipad time on there now.

i spoke with best buy rep on chat, he said 11 inch version will go on sale too, he didn't say when, not sure how trustworthy that is..
