Bah, discs are cheaper, +$10 for some newer titles. I have digital PS5. Oh well. Any other ways to get deals on digital codes outside PlayStation store?

You know, it may not be the safest to hold off, just in case there isn't a flash sale, but usually every year they will do a 24-hour Black Friday flash sale. Maybe not on Friday, maybe on Saturday, but usually the best deals on the PlayStation Network are during the 24-hour flash sale.

It looks like these deals are valid until November 30th, so I will wait a bit more but if you can't really find anything cheaper I will pull the trigger after Cyber Monday.

Its Sony's way of using a little lube (small discounts) for all the digital console suckers they have over the barrel. The rest of us have choices.

Since you have a digital PS5, best thing to do is buy PSN gift card at a discounted price and add it to your PSN account.

$100 PSN for $86 https://slickdeals.net/f/15414895-100-playstation-network-gift-card-86-05-instant-e-delivery

$100 PSN for $80 https://slickdeals.net/f/15410545-eneba-com-100-usd-playstation-network-psn-card-for-80-27

or become a Gamestop PUR member for $15 / 1 yr and get a $5 coupon every month which you can use it on $10 PSN gift card.

Oh I didn't know you could apply that $5 PUR to a Sony card -- that's a good trick. I think it's in-store only, right?

For PSN credit I usually wait for the Target B1G% discounts that come up occasionally (not as often as they used to). Like Buy 1 Get 1 at 15% off. It varies from 10% to 20% on the 2nd card, but as I mentioned the deals on these don't seem to happen as much and the discounts are usually 10 or 15%, not 20%. Still, whenever this comes up, I'll usually get 2x$50 PSN cards. Or it usually applies online and you get codes in email in <1 hour (it says 4 hours but usually faster than that for me.)

Oh damn I didn't know about this. Best I've been doing for saving on PlayStation store or Nintendo eShop cards is buying the gift cards from Costco.

I've wanted to be a power up replay member for a while just for the print game informer subscription really. As far as the other benefits, I only shop at GameStop periodically - when they have a deep sale on a random game or something like a buy 2 get 1 free promo. I know the free rewards won't stack on those kinds of sales and wasn't sure if the pro monthly $5 rewards wouldn't either. But using them on ps store cards (or eShop cards too?) Would be great. Basically free money with how often I'm buying from either of those online stores.

I haven't really gamed in years, but have a ps5 and switch and rtx 3080, so tempted to start getting back into it. What sucks is i love time loops, so thought deathloop may be nice to get, but tons of 1 star reviews on amazon and also I usually only like fps if it's like some aliens.

Also never played a RE game, so tempted on that too.

Isn't deathloop a GOTY contender? I'd ignore the 1 star reviews because of how crazy gaming fandom is. Especially at $25 give it a shot

In store only for digital cards but you can use the $5 coupon on games and accessories at their store website. In order to view the $5 off coupon code get the GameStop app or log into your account at their store website.

If you have a little time to spare a week, another way to get PSN credit (IMO the best) is download the GameStop app and buy used video games and then trade-in at GameStop for trade in credit. Use the trade in credit on digital cards like PSN, Xbox, Steam, eShop, etc. if you want.

Good sites to find used video games - OfferUp, Craigslist, Facebook marketplace, thrift stores, Swap meet, Pawn stores, flea markets, etc.

The GameStop app is a good way to find trade-in value on video games real quick on the go.

For example last month I bought a lot of Wii and 3ds from a seller on OfferUp for $60 cash and traded most of them at GameStop for $140 trade in credit. I could have used it on psn credit but decided to hold it and build more store credit for future purchases like an Xbox series X.

Note: GameStop doesn't really care if the discs are scratch or not. If it has scratches they will add a $2 refurb service charge on it which is nothing.
