at work i put tiles on our departments symbol hand scanners cause they would always grow feet and walk away to other departments. Well, that lasted about 2-3 days until someone took the tiles off the scanners. I guess they thought they could take and use them. so, i put out the word 'dont dare take the $10 tiles home cause they will tell me where you live and you dont want the police to show up at your door over a $10 tile.' the next day they were mysteriously in my desk drawer! laugh out loud

Should've clarified if you intend to use these for keys as that is what they are primarily used for, you will need a case for the air tags which are sold separately. I didn't say a case was needed for them to work.

Is crazy how Tile having been on the industry for like 10 years of something got shadowed in terms of network tracker size by Apply in a blink.

I have not tried the AirTags but I have had the last gen of the til pro for years and it has saved me my sanity. For the price and the fact you don't have to buy a case for each tag(which you would need to for air tags) this looks like an extremely good deal

AirTag [supposedly] reports its location through any Apple devices in the vicinity. It is unclear how these tags get to report through an arbitrary phone (that is, without a dedicated app installed).
