Compare the next generation features of Duo Evo Plus which was followed by Pro and now Pro Plus. The upgrades which first appeared on D-E-P in 2020 are functional and significant even for the ordinary casual user. Pro followed this year but with a few anoyances so Pro Plus followed adding features of the MAX noteably programmable steam release.

Also $80 at Kohls but with $15 Kohls bonus. Watch Indigo Nili's reviews on Youtube which compare the next generation features of Duo Evo Plus which was followed by Pro and now Pro Plus. So then you're saying the Pro Plus is the new king of the hill?

Duo Evo Plus is an unforunate name because it has nothing in common with the now obsolete Duo Plus. Confusing names help retailers dump old models whcih they love to do as holiday promotions. Are the extra features on the Pro Plus are worth $90 more than this deal on the Pro? That's for you to decide. I have one year of experience using the next gen Duo Evo Plus with rock solid performance. None with the Pro or Pro Plus.

Same here. duo Evo plus and next upgrade would be pro plus. That programmable venting is something I look forward for.

Specs are subject to change and may be reported incorrectly. Pro Plus appears to combine features of the Max, the 2018 flagship, with the Evo and the Pro. So 15 psi capability, precise digital temperature selection, high degree of programmabilty, touchscreen input, programmable steam release. Wattage is cited online to variously to be 1100, 1200 or 1500. Then it has a new Android app with 800 recipes. With no manual steam release my Max would rarely but occasionally refuse to open and Max wattage is less than DEP. Last year the DEP saw initial resistance to acceptance due pp reporting issues with prior advanced models which may or may not have been user related. I'd give it a year whereas the Pro is already essentially a proven DEP and the best value today for any I.P. at $80 for BF. Those who need an I.P. have the extended holiday return period to change their mind. Last year the DEP BF price was not repeated.

There is zero yt review on pro plus and I have seen only one blog post on pro plus. The lid is similar to DEP and you can slide to release steam. It also has nutriboost that release steam during cooking.
damn this company has som many freakin models. what does this have over the Ultra?
All of the models except this Pro, Pro Plus and the unfortunately named Duo Evo Plus lack the processing built in the the next generation models, lack precise temperature and pressure sensing, lack the better float valve, steam release or the new improved lid. Together these refinements can prevent over-under cooking and they prevent unwanted steam release during cooking. The old models work fine for basic pressure cooking but should be priced to reflect the older technology. Many set their p.c. manually by time and do not make use of the other features. These folks will do fine with the $29 6t Insignia or a similar basic I.P. for $50 albeit with inconvenience dealing with the lid and water consumption from float valve failing to seal completely or without prodding. This $80 deal reflects a deep discount for the next gen p.c. bringing the cost only slightly above that of an obsolete model. There are plenty of YT videos which campare models like the Ultra. Those looking for the custom settings it has will likely prefer a next gen instead. Compare wattage too.

Kohl's has the Duo plus, this is the Pro at Amazon. The Pro is regular price at Kohl's and they don't carry the 6qt

When I last checked the Pro 6 qt was being offered at $80 for BF from several retailers including Macy's. It is essentially the same as the 2020 Duo Evo Plus. The non-Evo Duo Plus is old school, nothing in common with Duo Evo Plus or the Pro. The Duo Plus may be on promo but imo not worth buying old tech to save $20.
The Bed Bath Beyond deal on the Pro 8 qt is dead but check for availability from other retailers on the Pro 6 qt for $80. If not looking for an air fryer lid then Pro is the only slick deal this BF. I will be surprised if old school 6 qt are not readily available for $50 or less after the holidays.
The MAX which is the only model other than Pro Plus with automatic programmable steam release, extra sensors for precise digital control and 15 p.s.i. capability has also hit $80 in the past year. As the former flagship of I.P. it is a very nice but lacks important user friendly upgrades such as the new inner pot with handles.
