This is their newer premium model, what used to be the Instant Pot Ultra. It's not comparable to the other models which can be purchased for a lot less.
First time IP user here. Got the new 8qt after reading some comments.
Price was not slick but win some, lose some.
The point though for others is I cannot believe how easy and fast it is to cook.
Bought the 8qt to do frozen meals to replace our $8+ health store bought ones.
It is work though to prep and package, no doubt.
This and an air fryer is all a family should need. Pro tip: Green beans in the air fryer, dotted with some yogurt dressing. Straight fire.
I own an 8-year-old IP Duo which still works fine, and I recently bought an IP Pro Plus for $105 from the Instant Home website. It was when they had the Jingle40. The Pro Plus was excluded from the 40% discount, but on sale for $149. Someone suggested contacting them directly to request a one-time 30% off code. That's what I did, and I was lucky enough to get one, bringing the price down to $105. So far this season, they are keeping the Pro Plus at a premium, and haven't offered as steep of a discount.
I'm providing these comments for people who are trying to decide between the IP Pro and Pro Plus. After comparing the Pro and Pro Plus, to me, there are two main advantages (there may be more) of the Pro Plus. The Pro Plus uses the Wi-Fi app and the higher pressure capability (up to 15psi). The app is OK. I don't find it that useful yet, but it works for basic functions, and it may be improved over time. I don't think I'll be using it for any of their recipes. The Pro Plus can be used for canning and has the higher pressure of a traditional pressure cooker, which could be better for breaking down tougher cuts of meat.
The Pro offered here is a very nice model. It has customizable presets, which the Pro Plus doesn't. Also, I like the display of the Pro since it's always on, and the multitude of cooking cycles available.
The biggest advantage of both the Pro and Pro Plus over lesser models is they have the pot with handles. It's so much nicer to be able to grab the pot when the cooking cycle is done, no hot pads required. It makes sautéing on the stove much easier as well. The pot handles are worth spending extra over lesser models.
I do think either the Pro or Pro Plus are worth $100 for all they do. If you can find a new Pro for less than $90 that's great, but it's up to you if you think it's worth waiting for. I personally wouldn't buy either one of these models used from Craigslist or a thrift store. I would be cautious/skeptical of buying used.
Both the Pro and Pro Plus are great. That said, and my wife still prefers the simplicity of our trusty Duo. I'm not trying to confuse the situation. If you can buy either the Pro or Pro Plus on sale, I think they're worth the extra cost. There have been many occasions I wish I had two Instant Pots, so we've decided to keep the Duo along with our new Pro Plus.

I have not paid $70 for a 10qt Crock Pot model back during the summer. Best Buy had it on sale.
