Stay away from this thing. It leaks like crazy and very loud for a carpet cleaner. It does clean well and the water heater does work well… here is the set back in this thing… when not use for awhile the brush stop rotating causing rust in the inside…you then have to open it and use Wd-40 oil the brush…

We have had the Amazon version for 6 years now. We clean our carpets several times a year do to large dogs and seasonal allergies. Does a fantastic job. The upholstery cleaner attachment works very good. Very easy to disassemble for cleaning after use. Brushes are starting to ware out so we may pick up another and keep the older one for a spare.

can this be used on hardwood? It looks similar to their floor cleaners but bigger, like it might save some time. Maybe something with the suction seal or something.

I would not recommend using it on hardwood floors, it's made for cleaning carpets.
There are other nice steam cleaners that are made for cleaning tile or hardwood floors.

I had this before it broke down in 3 years.worked well but cleaning the container is bit difficult because hand or any other cleaning tool can't reach fully making to leave some dirty messes.

I know people comment of how this pales in comparison to much powerful Rug Doctor & Big Green and even though this is a weak alternative.
I cannot image the nasty stuff that has gone thru rental units.
