It's amazing in that each button is programmed separately directly from another remote. You can use 1 button for tv power, 1 button for sound bar, volume buttons for sound bar, channel buttons for cable box etc. You could program one to an old fan that has a remote or a window A/C unit. Literally each button can do anything that another (IR) remote can do.
How would I use this with my Chromecast remote? It seems like most of the buttons are redundant. What would be some applications for A and B buttons? Is this thing intended to control a third device like a DVD?
Had one for an older Roku that didn't have the power and volume buttons and it was useful.

If this works out for me I'm going to double down and attach a Tile Slim on the back and it will be my uber rig. Full buttons, can find remote.

I think the size will be right for a Tile slim on back, but don't know yet.

I do not like the Tile company except for the slim. If you want your Tile tag to alert you forget your wallet/backpack/etc and walk out of bluetooth range Tile requires a monthly subscription for that feature. Monsters!. Samsung and others do not have subscription fees for basic features. Tile is bullying it's customers with ultimatums, IMO. What kind of idiot pays subscription fees on a piece of plastic and electronics that weighs a few grams.

The tile slim, which fits in your wallet better than the rest, is the only thing Tile has to offer above others. All other offerings by Tile are substandard to competitors, and the biggies like apple, Samsung. Then they have the audacity to employ a subscription system.

Get a Shield and you can use the Nvidia app to find the remote.

My shield remote is falling apart, still any use for this?
Just spend $15 more and get the new version shield remote. They don't break on every fall and won't slide into couch. I have three of the new ones for my old and new shields.

I bought one for Amazon Fire TV remote. Looks clunky but saves time looking around for TV remote to turn the volume up and down, etc. If this is your first time using it, a setup process would be in less than 30 secs if you watch it on YouTube but if you read manual and try to figure it out might take about 2-5 minutes.

These are fantastic! I have one on each of the 3 fire sticks I have in my house. Well worth the money. So versatile too! The one in my home theater controls my dimmable lights along with my AVR volume and inputs.

I'm finding it at $14.99, not $12.99. I'm going with an Eflea refurb version for $12.99 and free delivery. I'm not sure how much use it will be for me so this is a compromise.
Last auction at Eflea was in December of 2018 according to the website...

My Amazon Fire 4K TV stick remote can control TV volume and power. The 4K stick is on sale for $25 now, and the 4K Maxx is $35.

Dang, you are right. My old fire stick doesn't have volume buttons but the newer ones have.

$15 for a remote accessory is excessive. I mean you can get a fire stick or roku for the same price.

But would they be able to control the sound bar volume also? And also if I need to switch my TV from HDMI to tv mode and vice versa?
