Fender sometimes gives exclusive finishes to some of its dealers. In this case, the LPB, while it is a color that has been used on and off for many years, is exclusive on these models to Adorama. But I'm sure you were trying to be helpful and not just being a know-it-all jerk.
I guess I didn't state it correctly, but the combo of LPB and this particular Strat and this particular Tele is an FSR for Adorama. Fender makes so many variations of strats and teles that it's hard to keep up with them all.
Depends on what you play, the H stands for Humbucker which cuts down noise if you play heavy/hard rock
This guitar is for my son who loves Nirvana so the Humbucker is ideal for him

So these lake placid blue models periodically go on sale at these relatively lower prices. Is there a reason its only this color that go on sale for this price?

Hahahah. Not even close. Lake placid blue was a duco color and fender has been using it since 1955.

Yeah, it's a store exclusive color. Great deal on these- they're about the same quality as a MiM Fender from 10 years ago. Keep wanting to click the button but I already have 2 guitars on order (one of those Epiphone '59's and a Hummingbird)

It's exclusive to Adorama on that model right now. It's a famous color on their high-end Strats, but you can only get the Player series in that color from them.

The only difference (I bought the Strat from GC) is that it is a HSS version where this is a SSS
Other stores like CME have LPB for their exclusive FSR Mustang bass.
LPB was replaced with Tidepool as the standard color in 2018.
