Depends on what you're looking for. Other than body shape, you're comparing apples to oranges. This deal is for more of a traditional tele with singlecoils while the deal you linked has dual humbuckers, 12" radius fretboard, etc.
The true telecaster sound they are known for comes from a single coil pickup in the bridge with the heavy metal shielding around it that gives it the "twang". I have a dual humbucker tele as well but it's just tele shaped and not a true telecaster.
Solid price, roughly $20 cheaper than what I paid in 2021, I believe, It's 75th anniversary marked neck . My guitar was shipped double boxed, and no setup was done. Adorama was great from a purchase standpoint though, quick and safe delivery. Fret work was great, if not incredible. No sharp frets, for a very comparable price to the Squier Classic Vibe line, I believe it's worth the upcharge to a Fender.

If it matters to anyone this isn't the new "Player II" Series that Fender recently released, those have rolled fretboard edges and split shaft tuners.

One nice thing about the older player series is the Fender locking tuners are a drop in replacement for these non-locking ones.

Hope this helps.

Pretty good price. I think the cheapest ive seen that color/model of tele listed from adorama was prob about 2 yrs ago, priced around $380 but it was sold with pretty notable damage on its body, and a crack on headstock.

i think it was during a time where many of this model and the similar strat version were commonly listed around $450ish 'open box'ish

edit:
This model seems like its been posted Open Box versions on Adorama often not this cheap lately.

I think this is the better deal to be honest https://slickdeals.net/f/17655000-fender-mij-boxer-telecaster-hh-guitar-center-699 Made in Japan rather than Mexico. You get a Fender Micro-Tilt neck, body binding and TBX Tone Control Potentiometer (Worth $18 but already installed if you don't know how to use a soldering iron). It's just a much nicer guitar for 129 dollars more with the 10 percent fender discount mentioned in the thread.

Great guitar. But I had a rough time dealing with Adorama back in 2021. Took a long time to arrive. Poorly packed and neck was cracked. The sale had ended by the time it arrived and it was like pulling teeth to get them to honor a return/replacement without an up charge. Replacement was begrudgingly sent after talking to 3 service reps, 2 of those offshore. After waiting a long time, the replacement turned out to be an open box/returned item.

I googled around and learned these kinds of issues had been reported before. Somebody had posted contact details for a senior manager who I emailed. She sorted it all out with a second replacement which was great, but it was a painful process that left me with a bad taste. I'll never buy from Adorama as a result, despite their occasional great deals.

That was a while back. Hopefully they've fixed their service issues.

I've only had great experiences buying from Adorama. Prolly throw a mirror pickguard on this and some humbucking pickups.

I've bought a couple guitars from Adorama, both low and high end. All of the transactions were excellent and the guitars shipped securely. Wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again.

Oh yes. Thousands in lenses. And I've even returned a EVh striped and got a replacement. Couldn't have been any easier. But that guy crying and downvoting 🤣

For what it's worth, I have purchased 4 guitars from Adorama in the last year or two and I have had no issues at all with any of the guitars or transactions. I have not had to do any returns though, obviously, so I can't say how that would go.

I'd happily make it 5 guitars from Adorama if they would only bring back the American Pro II deal…

iconian has cost me a lot of money 😝 but I'm always looking for these Adorama deals due to the great prices and my own good experiences.

I've bought much stuff from Adorama (numerous guitars), and have only had 1 problem. They shipped a Fender Tele with a big chunk of the finish missing on the edge, like down to the wood, and they asked if they refunded $30 if I would keep it. I thought that was a total lowball on their part, and shipped it back. If I'm going to keep a severely blemished new guitar, it needs to be heavily discounted. Other than that, no problems. But I do feel for the guy who got the run around with his return and then received an open box/return as a replacement. They should at least call and consult with you on what they're doing and give you the option of not accepting the replacement, or offering a discount.

And - I bought this deal, shipping is kinda slow, but free and arrived when promised. Brand new and in perfect condition - just needed a little setup. This is a good deal and it looks like Adorama has a warehouse full of these "limited editions"!
