I've done some research the last few weeks and this is the one I landed in. Just snagged it this morning. Thank you!

Can anyone compare i7+(available at $550 at bestbuy) vs i8+(Costco only model)
Didn't verify for accuracy but saw this in a YouTube video i watched earlier. i8+ has:
20% extra battery
3 extra HEPA bags
2 extra HEPA filters
Virtual Wall
Extended warranty

And its said to work better on carpets than i7+.

Wow. Well worth choosing this for $30 IMO. In for one.

I live in a 2000 sq 3 storey house which has a lot of stairs so I'm not sure if a robot vacuum would be of any help since I'm assuming it's not going to come up and down the stairs. Does anyone have experience using this in a similar setting?
Most of the high-end robots can now be moved from floor to floor, identify which floor they are on, and load the appropriate map. All you need to do is ferry the little bugger up and down the stairs.

In this case, the base will be less mobile so you have to bring 'em back to the base to empty and recharge.

Torn between this and the DEEBOT T8+ Vacuum & Mop Robot for $450.
We just replaced our carpet with laminate, and was thinking a robot with mopping abilities would be better, but unsure which option really is better

T8 has better technology over this i7 with it's Lidar.
Can be run at night where the i7 cannot.
A decent mopping ability too.
$130 cheaper.

The biggest con is it's 1 year warranty where Costco is practically lifetime.

So it comes down to the long-term quality of ecovacs done they only have a 1 year warranty

I don't know why anyone would get this over roborock or deebot. Lidar is just so much better. I had this and took it back after a month. Got a t8 and it is better in every way. Roborock is probably the best one out there.

I have both a Roomba 960 and a Roborock S6. The Roborock is far more superior due to it's LIDAR navigation. I believe the Roomba does mapping by using your ceiling as the layout. So if you have a baseboard with a protruding top, the Roomba doesnt know the exact limit of it and will run into it. I have the same issue with my Roomba, although it got a little smarter after the first few runs for it to get a general map of the floorplan.

In general, I would only recommend a robovac with LIDAR navigation. Much smarter and more efficient cleaning routes.
I also have both but I prefer the Roomba cause it doesn't get stuck as much and has easier time getting on thick rugs. I'll probably spring for this one.

Are these smart enough that you can say " hey Google, roomba the living room" and it will only vacuum that area?

Have you had any issue with the t8? I'm worried about the warranty only being 1 year.
