well, that one is made in china. and there's a reason the price is 700 cheaper.

my dad bought a hisense just a couple of years ago and within about one year the entire image on the screen shifted towards blue. i looked it up and found out that the backlight LED is blue so they used a yellow filter over it to, i guess produce white light. and it turns out, the yellow filter is just some kind of yellow paint over some plastic piece, or something, and the paint or whatever apparently flakes off. then you have everything blue. so now everything looks like how half of all movies intentionally make everything blue for some idiotic reason. and when you're watching one of those movies, then it's double blue.

point is you'd think a part like that would be considered important enough to do it right. thanks, hisense, for being the ultimate in cheapskates.

There is a reason it is $700 cheaper, then you talk about a completely different TV?

Correct, only Q7 and above series support native 120HZ/4K with VRR. I have been waiting for Q7 85" prices to drop close to $1700 would be the best.

You really want the 7 series or above here. We had a 7000 series 85" in a rental watching the Olympics. The picture was very impressive. Being a huge tv you will get blooming and pixelation. So the better the set, the less noticable the issues. You're source is everything.

It's just a piece of glass with some filters and a rasberrypi/phone SoC. These TVs can go to from 75"-120" and cost barely incrementaly more to manufacture. Just the shipping and handling kills their profits.
