It depends on your computer usage. I mean, this version is faster that previous MacBook Pro and as fast as many top end models of other brands.

Latest model in MacBook Air lineup. The new refreshes that just came out were for the Pro lineup.

Good price if you don't have Costco, but for $20 more the 2 year warranty is worth it. Also, 4 years if you use the Costco Citi card.
Yeah it is
Even better deal than the $800 ones.

For most students or average people this is a fantastic bang for your buck. I already got one for my sister heading into college next year.

But cmon now Microcenter, put that 16 GB RAM one on sale now

Microcenter just posted their counter to the Costco deal on the MacBook Air base model with $779.99 pricing. In-store only. Reserving for pick up seems available on gold only for me in the Tustin, CA store, but the space grey shows as available in store with no reserving.

This is a great deal but I'd rather spend $20 more for the extra warranty you get from Costco.

Agreed - I actually went with the Costco deal myself, but there are some that are looking for the absolute minimum price which this is. If they do use the Costco Citi card here, they do get 2 years on top of the Apple warranty for a total of 3 years.

This seems like one of the better MBA deals assuming you are near a Micro Center no?

It depends on your specific situation. If you're looking for absolute lowest price, yes. I wanted to get Applecare+ on top of the MBA... so for me, it was $800+$160 for Applecare+ through Costco. Microcenter doesn't offer the Applecare+ service at a discount like Costco so the price there would have been $780+$200 (if memory serves me correctly when I asked for their price).

Maybe you can price match Best Buy; i know during black friday they don't do cause then it's hard to keep track but it's worth a shot since there's more availability from Best Buy
