Although, the good thing about about the Roku and Prime versions is that they use different billing systems, so technically could try a service again as a new subscriber if you have never done it before on one or the other.
Some of these offer a free month trial too. Showtime frequently offers a free month.
Currently you can get the Paramount+ & Showtime 30-day free trial bundle.
HBO Max is offering a free 30-day trial if you have a Roku. It should work for existing Roku users, as long as you haven't used HBO Max on Roku before.
Anyone have any recommendations on some newer must-see shows or movies on any of these networks? Prefer drama/suspense/thriller type series/movies but I'm open to most genres. Ty in advance 😊
If I sign up for some of these trials through Amazon or Roku, is it easy to watch shows on these channels through my Chromecast w Google TV? As in, can I just download the Starz app on my Google TV and watch through the app without using Amazon or Roku?

Condor on EPIX. Based on Three Days of the Condor.
I recommend having the capability to use Amazon Prime deals on channels, Roku, and other. Pretty much can have all the premium channels all year for $1/ month per channel.
You can use PlayOnCloud to record shows from many of these services to keep for later. The charge ranges from ~10-15c each show depending on how many credits you buy. They have 450 credits for around $50 (11c each recording) good at least until the end of today. They don't expire. If you need to record in 4K, it costs more in credits.
They also just introduced PlayOn Home, which I think does the same thing but on your own computer instead of the cloud. That is around $40 a year. I haven't tried it yet.
I subscribed to Showtime using this deal on the Roku Channel. Is there anyway to use this subscription and watch Showtime on Apple TV device or I must use Roku device only? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.
Edit: CS from Roku says, I can only watch the subscription on my Roku device. I cannot carry forward this to other devices.
it's good that roku kept these offers until tuesday when all the other offers have pretty much dried up.
i got in on amc+ mainly because of shudder and the new season of creepshow. it's interesting to note that shudder and sundance are the same price by themselves when you can get all of them on amc+ for 99 cents.
plus britbox and acorn. cancel all after two months. i really don't have the time to watch the way i should if it was only one offer at a time.

for starz, heels is a must whether you're into wrestling or not. p-valley, if you're very open. takes place in a black strip club. it's not for everyone for sure.
for amc+, creepshow and tales from the crypt should watch their original series, creepshow on shudder.
Be advised! These ROKU Channel deals are NOT for the full streaming service. It is only a selection of the movies/shows that are included with the full streaming sub if you got it through the actual provider. Also there may be other limits, such as no easy way to search for content. Definitely NOT something they tell you, and a deal breaker for me.

But maybe getting 2-months at $0.99/month might be a better option if you plan to subscribe for that long.
Shudder offers a month for free too fairly often.

I was just about to ask if AMC+ had the latest Dr Who episodes. I think you are saying "yes, but expect ads".

There are FAQs all over their website for each service: https://www.playon.tv/
