But I have my own RAM to swap in, which is why I mentioned that upgrade maybe being a consideration for you.

But as someone else also reiterated, for WoW primarily (and/or concerning budget) a 3060 would still be plenty.

I did the 30L with the 3060ti plus RAM and storage update that you recommended then added the Wi-Fi 6 option and 12 months of McAfee LiveSafe for a total of $1392 + tax. This is using my son's edu account with coupon code 10GAMER2021. I think Im pulling the trigger on this one. Thanks!

Not worth paying $100 for another 8gb ram upgrade from HP you can get 16GB Kit for $50-60 off Newegg.

Yes, EPP are employee perks programs where your employer has worked out discount deals with other companies, whereas EDU are for students and educators who have a .edu email they can sign up with.

I have an EPP that doesn't work with this deal but others are reporting success stacking EDU with the 10gamer2021 code for a little bit better deal that what I posted.

As someone mentioned, cost-wise you are better off upgrading RAM on your own, which is why I mentioned it if you don't want or know how to, but sounds like a good deal overall. Glad you tried the EDU and wish I'd know about it when I made the original posting.

There are comments about Omen computers from October not having shipped yet...how about the Pavilions? Are they shipping on time? Also, can you cancel the order if it does not ship by the scheduled date (i.e. not in time for Christmas)? I vaguely recall someone in another thread saying HP doesn't cancel orders?

This is actually a repost of a deal I posted yesterday, but you wouldn't know at a glance because they completely screwed up the title when they made it front page. (It's the one with pavilion 5700g for $1026.)

My original title included a few pavilion and omen configurations, as the whole intent of it was to list several good configurations of both Pavilion and Omen with updated pricing. They made it look like a Pavilion-specific post, and highlighted one of the less popular configurations to boot. (I'm not bitter lol)

Also, I wasn't aware at the time, but others are reporting edu does work with 10gamer2021 code making this 3080 build $1566.

Finally, a notification from the Intel driver that was installed pushed me to the Intel site for an updated driver. This completely unlocked it."

In doing some looking back, I believe it was the Intel Chipset Installation Utility and Driver.

The AMD based systems must have some way to use the onboard video. Regarding my experience, Intel's architecture disables the onboard video in the units I purchased, and in another unit I own, when the PCIe x16 slot is populated.

Thanks for the detailed reply! They sure don't make it easy on you. I hope someone sheds light on how to do it for the AMD mobo.
