For iPhone 12 mini, trade-in value is $630 at Best Buy T-mobile iPhone 13 upgrade.

Unfortunately there was memo sent out this afternoon to all bestbuy stores to validate the unlock state before processing the trade in, or it has to be with the 4 carrier on their trade-in website. This was implemented around 2:30pm PST today.

I don't need another plan as I have my T-Mobile post-paid plan (5 lines for $88). I would use the Walmart iPhones to trade them in at Best Buy for a "cheaper" iPhone 13 Mini upgrade ($395 total after taxes). I will then get them unlocked by T-Mobile as I did with the other 4 Best Buy upgrades I had done before.

BB don't have any in store so I need to do online. On BB page to enter trade in information, it asks for a carrier. The only carrier options are AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, or Unlocked. What carrier do I need to select to trade-in iphone12 mini from straight talk?

With my past Best Buy orders the order gets auto cancelled 6-7 days after ready for pickup email. Since the iPhones are in stock I would get ready to pick up email probably today without having the iPhone 12 for trade-in until mid next week.

Yes it has been done many times, BB doesn't care about SIM lock. Only slight hurdle might be to activate Costco BYOD on IMEI numbers that show locked in their database but I know from experience that Costco can call in and override any problems. I actually did exactly what you did just with phones from a different deal -- opened new account with 2 lines at Costco under the promo and went to BB and traded both for 13 Pro about 3 hours later. No sweat

I don't know but when I asked the associate they said they don't care as long as the phone is in perfect condition . Mine was Verizon but they put as T-mobile but still got my trade in completed successfully instore
