bought a 50" element a few years ago.... died 6 month later.. warranty was a nightmare ... countless emails and calls they finally send me a return authorization.... which i had to pay to send back (warranty doesn't cover shipping)....

so after spending ~$100 sending it back, they never send the TV back and they no longer take my calls or stating they didn't receive it or it was not covered whatever... since it was over 3 month, i couldn't get it back from credit card...

i'd recommand against buying it
Lies. No one recommends IPS televisions over VA.

Look at every high end LED TV and see what kind of panel it has.
Dude... really !!
You should inform yourself before you post useless comments.....
IPS ("In-Plane Switching") are best for gaming and have better viewing angles.

VA (Vertical Alignment) have better color accuracy and contrast ratio but narrow viewing angles.

Purchased yesterday for pickup today. The guy loaded my vehicle with the LG 75" 70UP70 4k TV instead (Worth $1,000, but going for $850-900 now). Not sure if an accident or a replacement due to stocking issues, but this was a VERY slick deal! $565 after target card discount.

Picked one up today and set it up. Looks as good as my Hisense 55 inch hdr uhd dolby vision that I got on sale 2 years ago. I just cant justify spending double plus for something with marginally better reviews.

This is the TV you get when you only care about size. Element TVs are not something to show off. It doesn't even have Dolby Vision. For those who don't know the difference between HDR10 and Dolby Vision: HDR10 produces over 1 billion colors. Dolby Vision produces over 68 billion.
Agree that Dolby Vision is better, but there are hardly any TVs (even the high end TVs) on the market today that can produce 68 billion colors. Most LED TVs today (other than OLED/QLED/ULED) produce up to 1.07 Billion colors. QLED and OLED and ULED maybe slightly better, but no where close to 68 billion colors. So while Dolby Vision produces a "slightly" better picture quality than HDR10, no TVs sold on the market today can benefit from the full potential of Dolby Vision. This can change in future new TVs in the next 2-3 years.

I don't like this cheap brand. Bad workmanship ,my first and last Element TV only worked two years.

I'd rather buy the Onn or Vizio deals than anything from Element. Element is by far the worst of the bargin bin TV brands.
Onn is currently a rebranded Element, check the specs, pics & parent company. Also element handles onn's warranties.

Element is not the Tesla of televisions.
Lol well Tesla is also on the bottom of the list on build quality & reliability. So it's fitting Big Grin

IS there another option for a similar TV around the same price?
I just want a spare TV to hook up the Xbox and Wii for the kids and the occasional movie

Purchased same tv 70 inch from target last year for $299. I use it everyday with my shield tv. Works flawlessly with 4K movies. There is enough picture settings for color correction. I would recommend not to connect the tv with WiFi or use any inbuilt apps and never update any firmware.
