bought a 50" element a few years ago.... died 6 month later.. warranty was a nightmare ... countless emails and calls they finally send me a return authorization.... which i had to pay to send back (warranty doesn't cover shipping)....

so after spending ~$100 sending it back, they never send the TV back and they no longer take my calls or stating they didn't receive it or it was not covered whatever... since it was over 3 month, i couldn't get it back from credit card...

i'd recommand against buying it
Lies. No one recommends IPS televisions over VA.

Look at every high end LED TV and see what kind of panel it has.
Dude... really !!
You should inform yourself before you post useless comments.....
IPS ("In-Plane Switching") are best for gaming and have better viewing angles.

VA (Vertical Alignment) have better color accuracy and contrast ratio but narrow viewing angles.

Question to the experts, which TV is better for watching black and white pictures and videos? Ultrasound and X-rays? The ultrasound machine manufacturers are charging thousands for a small 19 inch or 23 inch monitors. The machine has normal graphics cards used in the desktops. I would like to connect to a TV instead.

Picked this up last night, brought it home and unpacked to find the screen shattered upon turning it on. Back to target and ordering a Vizio for $200 more

Purchased same tv 70 inch from target last year for $299. I use it everyday with my shield tv. Works flawlessly with 4K movies. There is enough picture settings for color correction. I would recommend not to connect the tv with WiFi or use any inbuilt apps and never update any firmware.

That's actually sound advice. Use the set as a monitor and let an external smart box handle the processing and heat. And get the extended warranty.

Bought this a few weeks ago when it was on the front page. Very happy so far. Best picture? Probably not, but as good as needed for my middle aged eyes.

How big is the box? Would it fit into a Honda Odyssey?

No. I have a Toyota Sienna and we had to remove it from the box to bring it home.

I picked mine up and after setup I am happy for its intended use: movies for the kids, Xbox, wii and karaoke. $550 for a 4K roku tv with 2 year warranty (3 yr with your own cc).
My only complaint is that it has 3 hdmi connections only.

Just picked this up. It's amazing for the price and Roku is awesome as well. It beat my expectations. Hopefully it last more than 2-3 years.

Pro tip: don't drop TVs
I was in the back of Target one day and saw a guy shot-putting the TVs into the overhead bins. As opposed to getting some help or using the lift to place them up into the racks one at a time.

I do miss the days when you could grab your TV from the middle of the pallet at Frys.

This is the TV you get when you only care about size. Element TVs are not something to show off. It doesn't even have Dolby Vision. For those who don't know the difference between HDR10 and Dolby Vision: HDR10 produces over 1 billion colors. Dolby Vision produces over 68 billion.

Isn't that pointless if Netflix and YouTube are not in Dolby vision?

How do you hook up the Wii to it?
