They are great! Just don't drop them. The mechanism that holds the plates in place is plastic.
My son and I (26 & 52) have been using a set of these in our gym for over a year now. Would never go back to plates, except when we are lifting over 52 lbs (have to use the plates for 100 lb presses but we don't do those very often).

They are great but I will say a stand is a must, at least for the 52 yr old! I bought the Nordictrack stand, it's half the price and works (use straps to secure the weight mounts).

Wish we could get that deal back that included the stand! Wasn't from Costco for $300?!

I'll see if I can pick up the $200 clearance set of Weider ones at Sam's. Some clubs have them.

Else, I'll stick with my old school plates.

I bought these earlier this year for roughly the same price at my local sporting goods store ($300); are they pulling the good ol mark up price to make it seem like a BF deal?

I wish they would offer the 1090s on sale. I sold mine a while back when I needed cash. They hold value well.

Oh I'm not. I have 1 set I use and another new in box I got at a Walmart in Ohio for 299 which I thought was a steal. New in box no on wants to to give more than 200.

I considered buying these all for resale but 0-30 bucks wasn't at all worth the effort.

Can anyone recommend a good stand to go with these?

Had these for four with heavy to light use on and off.
Pros- excellent at switching weights quickly.
Solid grip.
You can pick different weights for each end if you prefer for waiter's curl or something.
Cons- size is constant regardless of what weight you choose and it is pretty large.
Cannot drop or you'll mess them up.
But I switched to exp PowerBlock recently and I love the fact that you can expand them and I expanded each hand to 70lb already and they are excellent for presses if you already bench press in that range or more. Powerblocks are little harder/time-consuming than bowflex for sure. But makes up for much more compact size as it is smaller at smaller weights and gets larger as you increase weight. Some people complain about the shape and blah blah but that is non-issue for me. In fact the flat sides are awesome for putting them on your thighs to kick up for presses.

Singles show at $148 on Brickseek.

Reselling 110# is definitely not worth $30.

Good deal. I think used ones were going for up to $500 on CL last year when gyms were closed

Bowflex has improved the design (don't know how recently) in that the latching mechanism is now made of metal. Probably from all the complaints of the plastic wearing out over time. I'd still err on the side of cation and refrain from dropping them like regular dumbbells. Be gentle with them and they'll last...
