That seems pretty low for a modern day laptop right? Other deals have battery life of 8-12 hours.

It has hyperthreading for 8 threads. This is more than enough for consumers even to virtualize and play around.

It depends on one's use case. Battery time may not be a top factor in deciding the laptop's worth, especially if you are not traveling with it.

$450 GC (4% CB from Slide + 4% CB going to Slide through TCB) = $414
$124.38 remaining paid thru Chase Sapphire ($8 CB, max of 10% offer) = $116.38
6% CB on the whole purchase through TCB = -$34.46
2% CB via Dosh on the Chase charge = -$2.49

Final cost $493.43!
