If you really want to have a secure password make it a "Double Blind Password". When you use a DBP neither you nor the password manager app know the full password. You create a strong password that is stored in the password manager and then you add a unique identifier that only you know.

You split your password into 2 parts - one which is stored in the password manager, and the other which is stored in your head, If your password manager is hack/stolen or compromised due to a security breach they will not have a working password.

You can verify if proper encryption algorithms have been used and test the method with an intention to break it. Hence, better.

Highly regarded and trusted and the only reason you might opt for something else is if you find a better price for a family plan, which is unnecessary in my mind. Let everyone have their own accounts and/or share one account if necessary.

If you are using it as an individual (not a family), the individual plan w/50% works out to be cheaper than family with 60% (including factoring in the longer trial period). Comes out to $1.44/mo individual vs. $1.84/mo for the family plan.

Bitwarden is absolutely fantastic and is considered one of the most secure PW managers out there.

1Password has left a sour taste in my mouth. I've been using their products since version 2 and have purchased multiple copies of each release for my devices. They started trying to push the subscription model for 2-3 years now and, frankly, I just don't want another subscription service (especially for as much money as they're trying to lock you in for).

You can still purchase persistent license keys (I'm not even sure it's an option for mobile anymore), but they're crippling users that go that route. At this point, they're just being petty. They've removed features I've had for years (auto filling in iOS has just straight up been taken from me), and they now have a permanent, red nag banner on my PC copy.

Apple has now released Keychain for Windows. I've been moving all of my logins over to Keychain and moving my secure notes to locked notes on my iPhone. That's a free and secure option that iPhone users can make use of.

I just wanted to share my personal experience as words of caution: this company is petty and doesn't mind sticking it to loyal users, so just approach with caution.

That may work for an iPhone, but what about something that works on all platforms? I personally need ONE app for Windows, Android, & iPhone. No, 1Password is not free, but it works across multiple OS's and all browsers I have tried. And the sharing capability of the Families plan is easy to manage.

Strange. I have persistent licenses and Auto fill still works for me on iOS using the same mechanism that had worked in prior versions of iOS.

It's true the new extension mechanism doesn't work, but the old one was fine.

I use KeePass/KeePassXC with backups to the cloud.

Nobody should ever pay a recurring subscription fee to something as basic and simple as a password manager. It should be free, period.
