Pixel 6/ 6 Pro Upgrade + Trade in offer for T-mobile in Best Buy $549.99 Minus Trade

Best Buy is offering extra trade-in value (your old device trade-in value + $150 or $200 extra ) for purchasing a T-Mobile Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro if you upgrade or add a line on T-mobile. Trade-in value directly applied to the price of a Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro, not a monthly credit
Pixel 6 [bestbuy.com] for 549.99
Pixel 6 Pro [bestbuy.com] for 899.99

They only have black versions available for now. Click Activate Today and then select Upgrade or Add a line after adding to cart. After selecting the trade in device, the enhanced value will be applied to your purchase.

You can only see the trade in options after you added to your card and selected upgrade or add a line.

Only newer iPhones and Samsung phones are eligible for the enhanced trade in value as listed below. (Promotional value already included) BB is not offering extra trade-in credit for pixel phones at the moment.

You cannot trade in a phone with the trade-in value higher than the retail price of the new phone online. e.g. you can trade in a Galaxy S21 for a Pixel 6 Pro, but not a Pixel 6.

Below is a list of trade-in values of Galaxy phones and iPhone at time of posting. Take that as a proximation. Best Buy changes the trade-in value of each phone frequently, the value can also vary by color/size/carrier. To get the real time value of your current phone, add a T-mobile pixel 6/pro to your cart, select upgrade, and continue with a trade-in. The final price will be shown after inputing your phone's information in the pull down menu.

Try select another carrier. Many people reported that when they actually do the trade in in store they don't really check the carrier and they can't really verify. They may ask you which carrier is it so that they can select the same and double check in their system if the value is correct. As for the phone they only check if your phone powers on and if the screen is intact

Just traded in a TMo A71.

I selected AT&T during checkout.
In store, the BB person verified model, unlocked status, no cracks, and phone works.

They were not concerned that it was TMo vs. AT&T vs. Sprint vs. Verizon.

YMMV.

I am wondering the same thing. Can someone please answer this?

Upgrading a line in Best Buy only meaning changing your device, it doesn't do anything to your contract/plan/credit. So it's just a simple putting the SIM card in a new phone.

It’ll ask you the state of your phone when you trade in and tell you the value. Don’t think a cracked phone worths much. But you can install a cheap replacement screen and then trade in as a good phone and get the value

It sorta does due to having two X1 cores put in, as opposed to only single as other SoCs do. Cooling is pretty minimal; don't expect gaming phone or iPhone performance on Genshin Impact or Sky. They put those cores in for very short tasks such as Image Processing. Though I would argue that the difference is pretty minimal. I only play light games and it is barely heating up.

Yes you can, it has been done with the iPhone trade in deals. Just hand in the old phone and get the new phone. Contract/bill will stay the same. New phone can be unlocked within 40 days or unlock right away if you chat nicely with a T-Mobile agent says you paid the phone in full

No need to add a line. Just need to use one line to upgrade. People have done multiple "upgrades" back to back with the same line. I think bestbuy has a policy that one line can only be upgraded certain amount of times per year (I think I've heard 5 but unverified). I have friend who has done 3 this year no problem

I keep looking for how to trade in a phone, can't figure it out. How did you find the option to trade in?

If you select activate later and then add to cart. They'll ask you if you want to add a line or upgrade. Click upgrade and then it'll give you an option to trade in a phone and tell you how much value it is. If you keep going you then apply the value to reduce the total and log on your T-Mobile account to check out. You'll have to do a store pick up at a bestbuy near you though
