I have the pros, right one never quite worked, was alway partially charged, never fully. Apple did nothing. Now I just use just the left one and only when I mountain bike because I don't really care if I lose it. I have small ears so had to buy wings so they'd stay put. My wired Apple buds that look like these had no issues staying put on their own so I'd go for these or gen3 over pros if I bought Apple buds again which I won't. The noise cancelling on earbuds sucks, use my Sony wh-1000xm4 for that.

Honestly, I picked up some soundcore liberty neos years ago and have used them much more than my Apple wired or wireless buds over that time and they cost a fraction even at full price. Save your money and buy something else unless you must have the microphone.

If you have the funds to yes! The fit and sound is much better.

Plus you get spacial audio with the gen 3.

considering how the price of pro and gen 3 are so closely match right now, get the pro instead. I too have every generations of the airpods and I personally find the pro fitting much better in my ear.

But if theyre both at normal price, the gen 3 is the better choice if you arent looking for the ANC feature.

But if youre just looking to upgrade gen 2, the gen 3 isnt much different.
