I've tested many of these entry level, native 1080p, LED projectors. This is one of the better models out there. Amazon is littered with terrible projectors that have descriptions that are designed to trick people. This is an actual, "native 1080p" LED projector. For clarification, it "supports" a 4K image input signal but will produce the image in 1080p.
One of the biggest selling points is that this model has dual 10W built in speakers. They won't blow you away but it does get plenty loud enough to use on its own in the backyard, driveway, or around the house without needing to hook up extra sound (I still recommend extra sound). Most other budget LED projectors might have half of the sound output that this one does.
If you are looking for something fun to use with the family for movie nights or are just looking to dip your toes into the world of projectors, this is a good price for a budget model.
Disclaimer: I enjoy home theater and have premium equipment. I still appreciate what these budget models can give you for a fun, portable, inexpensive package.
These make excellent Christmas gifts for your children, nieces, or nephews. I'm like a big child so, if you are anything like me, it's a fun gift for yourself too.
Additional Disclaimer (because this post isn't long enough already): if you search Amazon for, "native 1080p projector", there seem to be other, well-reviewed budget 1080p LED projectors for even better prices for Amazon Prime members. I am leaving this post up because I have actual experience testing this model but I don't want people to miss out on even better prices if they want to read up on some of the other offerings. In a quick search I saw at least one that was under $80 with coupons and Prime member savings.
Enjoy!

I, too, have been keeping an eye on and cataloging these Chinese BrandX "white box" projectors, and I agree that the one listed here is probably the best of the cheap native 1080p bunch, if you can get one at a good price. Otherwise you can find new native 1080p's on eBay for $80 and under if you are good at double checking specs and recognize what the various models look at. I saw a listing for a new open box one for $38 on eBay recently and at least the description was for a native 1080p along with the photo (it was the Vankyo 620 "white box" sold under a different "brand" name). I was skeptical so did not pull the trigger and I'm hoping to find one of these Wimius S1 / S2's or Vivimage Explore 3's new for under $100 at some point.

I have many junk, cheap projectors for my Halloween setup, so I understand true junk projectors. This one is plenty bright enough to project a good enough image in regularly lit room, which is the true test. Obviously, as is the case for all projectors, the darker the better, but this one is a home run assuming it has good longevity.
The only cons so far are that it doesn't have a tripod mount at the bottom of it, which is sort of a bummer but still manageable. and the fan is relatively loud for regular viewing.
Thanks again, OP, as this will make my holiday projections that much better!!

As of now, it's showing as $170 with a $50 coupon, so slightly higher than the OP, but still seems fair for the quality I've seen so far.

Most if not all name branded projector have "offset" such that image is cast above the table but without needing any digital keystone correction. IMO, offset is a very essential feature for a good viewing experience.
