DO NOT BUY the GL-MT1300 that is being mentioned by some below if you plan on connecting to an EAP network. This is a network that one would usually find at work and requires a Username and Password to be entered. I could see this being an issue at some hotels, etc too.
I've had GL-MT1300 router for months and have found no way around this issue, but I'm not that much of a techy, but I did at one point find on their website that the GL-MT1300 and a couple of other routers they sell do not support EAP.
If someone knows how to get this to work, I'm all ears!
I now also have a GL.iNet GL-AR750 which does support EAP.
I'm not sure how it compares to this router.
All models are supported EAP EXCEPT GL-MT300N-V2, microuter-N300, GL-MT1300: https://docs.gl-inet.com/en/3/tutorials/eap/

If you can turn on USB hotspot on your cell phone and can get that working when connected to a PC, then it should work when plugged into this router too.
- OR -
You can connect this router to your cell phone's WIFI hotspot too. This will be a little slower.
I've got Visible with unlimited hotspot which is limited to 1 connection, but I have been able to connect multiple machines through the above methods.

I did say IF you have a hotspot plan too...
I'm happy for you that you have unlimited hotspot. Most people don't, but have unlimited data.

I'm guessing if you root your phone, then your phone's hotspot wouldn't have the limitations is the only way around it.
