Nice price! From the model number, I'm guessing it's the Walmart version of this one (W for Walmart, versus A for Amazon):

https://www.amazon.com/Acer-KA272...08JQSBNYH/

The 27"-model reviews indicate it has wake-from-sleep issues with Displayport, FYI.

Acer KW272U bmiipx 27" WQHD 2560 x 1440 IPS Monitor with 75Hz Refresh Rate with AMD RADEON FreeSync Technology (Display Port & 2 x HDMI 1.4 Ports)
  • The KW272U 27" monitor with 2560 x 1440 WQHD resolution in a 16:9 aspect ratio presents stunning, high quality images with excellent detail.
  • With a KW272U monitor, you'll want to see as much of the display as possible. Get more monitor real estate with the near bezel-less design, allowing you to see more and do more. The ZeroFrame design lets you place multiple monitors next to each other for a seamless, almost uninterrupted view.
  • Say "goodbye" to stuttering and tearing. With AMD RADEON FreeSync, the monitor's frames are synced with the graphics card's frames, which eliminates screen tearing and provide the smoothest gaming experience.

Great deal, I've had the Amazon version on my wishlist for a while. Hard to find a 27" 1440p monitor under $200, it's for my wife so we don't need the 144hz refresh rate that a lot of them have.

How would this monitor fair with just using for spread sheets and text for work?

I have two Acer 1440 IPSs and just bought this one for the kids to have a dedicated computer. They make great panels for the price for photos, gaming, and day to day. Good size and resolution for normal desk viewing distance.

Bought a gigabyte IPS monitor, came busted first, then dead pixel. Got this one will return the gygabyte one, since I use it for work. My primary requirement is 1440p, excel and PPT look terrible on 27" 1080p unfortunately

The Amazon reviews on this monitor aren't so great. They scared me away.

Any reviews on this monitor? Can't find it on Rtings.

edit: the Amazon version of the monitor (https://smile.amazon.com/Acer-KA2...ect=1&th=1) doesn't seem to have very good reviews... issues with bad picture quality and the monitor going to sleep and not waking up.

Regarding sleep issue, sounds like it primarily happens with DP, not HDMI. I was worried too, but as long as HDMI doesn't have this issue, should be fine for at least 75% of users

There goes my triple monitor setup. Going to need to use Displayport on one of them.
