Bought this 11/10, Got a price adjustment. Thank you.

This TV is good for the price. If you're handy with android and tinkering, I would enable dev mode and debloat this thing.

Check out XDA or other resource for more

For mine, I did
- Disable animation speeds
- Debloat
- Change and replaced the ad filled launcher with mlauncher.
- Remap home button with Button Mapper

The results are silky smooth expience.

As for the hardware, the stands can be installed in 2 positions - one is closer to the edge and the other is closer to the center. The stands look tiny and extremely wide.

I wish the U8G would also drop a bit.

That's stupid. The top end TVs of those brands are great, but the ones this competes with in price and size are inferior to it in every way.

One consideration of U6G vs U7G is that the 75" U7G is confirmed IPS, so better viewing angles but worse contrast than 65" and 55" U7G and 75" U6G. Rtings claims U6G is confirmed VA for 75 (even though in some places Hisense themselves stated otherwise).

I pulled the trigger. Seems like the best deal I have seen on a quality 75" since the 950ish TCL 635 pre-COVID.

ive read a review that said there is no option to turn off motion smoothing, can anyone confirm if that is true. if it is then this is a no go for me
It was mentioned here in this thread you can turn it off and these reviews mention turning it off: https://www.pcrichard.com/hisense...od-reviews

Is it better to go with U6G 65" from Costco at $650 with 3 years warranty? I think BB has just 1 year warranty on these?

Thanks for the script, looks like they give the credit if we ask nicely. I went with the below and got refunded instantly back to my card.

I see the tv I bought a few days ago went down $50 in price (Was $849, now its $799). I was hoping that I could get one time credit as a long time amazon customer as opposed to having to return my existing one and buy a new one. Thanks in advance.
I asked nearly the same exact format please and thank you and was denied flat out by the text rep. So thats definitely not true. Clearly depends on the rep. Could be a seniority thing or who know what. The phone rep claimed it wasn't possible in my case due to no shipper being assigned. Yet to be seen if that was accurate or a "blow off".

No because it's not the same set and some have said it looks washed out. Something is up with the roku version.

Thank you. Also do you suggest to go with any protection plan from BB for this tv?

Picked mine up from Best Buy last night and got it on the wall in time for the game. This TV is worth every penny, and then some

Can anyone who just got one of these tell me if the back of yours is different than the pictures on Best Buy's website?

Mine has a late June build date, and has:
  • 2 sets of leg width options
  • the identification plate horizontal, rather than flipped 90 degrees on its side
  • the part that sticks out that holds all the electronics is a uniform depth, rather than the bottom part sticking our farther
  • 2 arches across the top, kind of like the McDonald's "M" arches, rather than 3 horizontal flat lines from left to right

Did I get something weird, or is that the new build style as of a certain date?

Mine looks exactly like pictures online, will edit with build date. Also pretty positive only 1 leg position

Debating on pulling the trigger on this. Was looking at the UG7 but this price is hard to pass. This will be strictly used for streaming and no gaming. Am I nuts to not pull the trigger? Going to replace a 7 year old Samsung

Also in the same boat x 2 Smilie Coming from a 65'' Samsung from BF 2016 (UN65KS8000FXZA) that has been excellent, until last year when some sporadic weird lines started popping up (eek.) It's about an 8.5-9 foot distance away. This is at the very top end of the general distance charts...will it be pushing it or should I stick with a UG7 at 65?

Took a chance on a budget ish Costco Hisense 70'' last year for the (less used, dark) bedroom - and have been very pleased with it. Was trying to stick with Costco for the 5 year warranties but nothing great in 65/70 is up now...
