Imho, better to get an older flagship than a budget phone that won't receive software updates.

To those with questions: Don't get your tech info from Slickdeals. Seeing way too much bad or half-right piecemeal info that'll just confuse you, especially regarding Android. Google your questions if you have any and go from there. Top results from Reddit are usually the most straightforward and helpful.

Grabbed a new Pixel 2xl for $140.00 as a backup phone a while ago which I'm not to impressed with. If this TCL hits the $120 range soon I might snag one.

Seems like they want you to buy one of their phones. I have an LG v40 unlocked at&t and Tracfone says it is incompatible with Verizon. I'm having to use my Verizon v30 instead. Works fine with AT&T or tmobile sim. If true, it is Verizon with the issue.

Dont get pixel 3a, support ends at the end of this year... while i agree with getting flagships over budget phones? The pixel 3a isnt the way to go. You could get an ebay refurbished OnePlus 7t with a 1 year warranty for like 20 bucks more of you weren't concerned about cosmetics. Could be returned in 30 days if you didn't like the battery life. The 7t would smoke this phone.

I have been using this exact phone on Verizon since march with no problems.

Well just one, I cant get WIFI calling to work on it. My daughter accidently dropped it on Thanksgiving and now the screen is broke. If I could get WIFI calling to work I would be ordering another one right now.
