Weird thing is, Walmart.com shows the new Pokemon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl Switch games for ~$59.98, in store they are ~$49.94. Basically $10 cheaper for no apparent reason.

Pretty much all video games across the board (excluding Sony first party?) are between 15-20% off MSRP or so by default and they've been doing it for few years now. Probably the idea is to get you to come into the store to buy other stuff as well.
