It's a refurb. Multiple times the scooter has been $299 new.

These deals are not great at all.

Interested what people with experience with electric scooters think about these deals. I'm in the market for a scooter, $500 is probably my max budget.

I'm also looking at some other deals, mostly on Amazon or directly from the manufacturer. How do these deals compare?

$426
Hiboy MAX3 Electric Scooter, 350W Motor 10" Pneumatic Off Road Tires Up to 17 Miles & 18.6 MPH, Adult Electric Scooter for Commute and Travel https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08LH13...UTF8&psc=1

$375
Gotrax XR Elite Electric Scooter, 18.6 Miles Long-range Battery, Powerful 300W Motor Up to 15.5 MPH, 8.5" Pneumatic Tires, UL Certified Adults Electric Commuter Scooter https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZJV8...JMST1RDH4A

$510
Limited-time deal: Hiboy S2 Pro Electric Scooter - 10" Solid Tires - 25 Miles Long-range & 19 Mph Folding Commuter Electric Scooter for Adults https://www.amazon.com/dp/B086N23...UTF8&psc=1

$400 (if you buy 2, which I am)
Turboant M10
https://turboant.com/collections/...gLrQ_D_BwE

Just looking at specs, the Turboant M10 seems like the best features for the price to me, but I'm no expert. The reputation and reliability of Xiaomi and Segway seem to be better than Gotrax, Hiboy or Turboant though.

The Turboant M10 for $400 has the following important features:
-20 mph top speed
-18 mile range
-10 inch inflatable tires
-30lbs

Seems like the M10 is the cheapest option with all of those listed features/specs. I don't necessarily require all those specs but they would be nice. Thoughts? Is it worth paying more for Segway or Xiaomi?

This was absolute trash from Newegg a couple of years ago. Sent back multiple units to get one that actually worked and it died after about 2 months. Very short support/return window--total waste of money.

Gotrax is a good entry level scooter but their customer service is horrendous.

I pulled the trigger on the Segway ES3 last time I saw this deal for $330.

I did the throttle mod and its able to do 20mph and I'm still able to get about a 25 mile range. I believe the referb us a full factory refurbish as the wheels and parts all looked new and have the lamination stickers on all the parts as if it were new. I'd highly recommend it or the ES4 as it includes a rear light.

Quality tires and slime.... I have 40mph hyper scooter with 100s of miles on it... pneumatic with shocks is the only way to go... unless you live somewhere with perfect roads.

I posted my experience with the extended warranty for the Bird ES4-800 I got from Walmart from last Black Friday (2020) for $200 in the Hover-1 post deal.

I won't count on the extra warranty from Walmart/Allstate. I purchased the refurbished Bird/Segway Ninebot ES4 Black Friday Special last year (2020) for $200 along with 2 years of their extended warranty ($22). It broke apart while My son was riding It few days ago. The neck/stem literally broke apart from the bottom part. I filed a claim with Walmart/Allstate and they denied it and said it is beyond the scope of the warranty.

I also won't buy another scooter with solid wheel which is on both the ES4 and ES3. You will feel every bump on the road.

I found the Segway Ninebot Max G30p still available in new condition on Woot and put down $799 for one.

I have the S2 Pro. The S2 has a little less power and smaller wheels (8.5" vs 10").

It's a great entry level scooter, but it has solid tires, so be prepared for a rough ride. I prefer solids because I don't want to deal with tire pressure or flats, but you feel every bump. I ended up fitting an aftermarket front suspension on the front which transformed it into a whole different machine.

If you can swing it, the pro is on sale for $509. If not the s2 is a good deal at $400.

I also think the xaiomi refurb for $315 is a good deal.

Anyone with experience on the Hover-1? Looking for something for older school-aged/young adolescent kids. Some of the reviews on Amazon (as well as best buy and target) are scaring me away though. Thanks for the post.

Does anyone know how the ES3 compares to the E22. I was able to get the E22 for $350 a few weeks ago. Which would you recommend?

Are there any better deals right now? I see a few for Gotrax but they have mixed reviews.
