I bought it 2 years ago and regret it. I keep it around for a backup.

I got one of the previous $13 deals and set it up on my router (fresh tomato open firmware)
Using the provided settings I got a lot of disconnects, so I had to change what they sugest putting in the custom configuration section of the settings.

If you want to avoid disconnects with this VPN on a router, use these settings in your custom configuration:

auth-nocache
nobind
persist-tun
persist-key
remote-random
remote-cert-tls server
route-metric 1
auth sha512
keysize 256

#mssfix 1430

reneg-sec 14400
resolv-retry infinite
keepalive 30 120

tun-mtu 1500

All the rest of their settings are fine.
It's not super fast, and they only have 3 or 4 torrent supporting servers. But it works.
Lifetime for $13 is ok in my book.

I have this. Devices includes different browsers on same computer. And sometimes it will even register the same browser more than once. You can only remove 1 device a week. So annoying

Don't buy for Indian content. Tried voot on their Bangalore server and it was super slow!
Have you tried Hotstar? How are the speeds that come on speedtest on Indian server? Im leaving towards getting Windscribe which seems to have decent speeds from others reviews.

Comes out to about $2 a month for the family plan for Argentina and I think $2.5 for India. You get YouTube Music too. Not as good as Spotify but enough for me so I end up canceling my Spotify too.

Google how to do it first beforehand and follow the instructions. You need to add all your family members before you register for YT premium.

And for people that said you can just use uorigin, vanced, etc. I would say yes that is true but I watch YT on my TV and IPad and there are no program for those devices. YT premium works on all devices and all accounts in my family plan, it's the simplicity of it all.
Do you also need to be on VPN to use the content when registered from another country like India or just register?
Also i was reading the YouTube support page for India and it says due to RBI restrictions you can't sign up for free trials or family/ student plan anymore? https://support.google.com/youtub...quirements

Are you grandfathered?

How does that work, at that price. They must be making money some other way. Not sure if I trust them.
I got this in July. When I was using their apps on PC and android, they were constantly trying to upsell their other products, password manager, firewall, etc. Now, I just configure the VPN on my router so I don't have to see it.

When using it, I often have to verify I'm human. Guess they have a lot of bots.

I have Windscribe free 50gb/month plan. I wonder if I should grab this to supplement for more countries and backup.

I'd love to use windscribe but I'm on a linux box and need to use openvpn which is only allowed on a "pro" plan apparently. If someone has the config files and they are not account specific I'd love to get them.

Wow. Thanks for the heads up. "devices" includes different browsers on the same PC?!?! Pass, just for fraudulent advertising on their part. Nobody's sane definition of a "device" is different software on the same device. Sorry, but if you're going to lie that blatantly when you sell the product, there's no way I can trust this company at any price. What next, they're going to claim opening a second web site in the same browser also makes a new "device"? Crazy

You get what you pay for. It's a decent vpn if you just want a vpn for the sake of it. I dunno why they advertise 400+ servers, there's only like 30 locations and I pretty consistently get the same ones for each location. If you wanna vpn to US servers, it's pretty decent. Any other international servers are a dice roll, most will have like 100KB/s-1MB speeds.

Got the lifetime sub for free during one of the promotion a few years ago. It was okay for free since I only use it for torrent. They got rid of the US based torrent server so the only one left was in Canada. I think it got disconnected once when I was torrenting and I got a notice from my ISP.
There are three torrent servers. One in Ontario Canada, France, and Romania. The Canada one is always with highest load so I don't doubt it.

Wrong.

All of my devices are listed per device, not per browser. Here is a screenshot of my user page demonstrating my desktop and cellphone are identified as two devices. Notice that there are three devices listed but only two are taking up slots. The first cellphone listed is my old phone which I used this vpn on. This company will remove a device taking up a slot if you do not login to it for a period of time.

I have been using this for almost 5-6 years now through one of the lifetime deals I grabbed. Hotstar works fine and have been using Hotstar premium with this without much issues. Sometimes the IP gets blacklisted and you have to work with the customer support to get the server working again. Speeds wise it is fine by me, I use it on firetv. So make decision based on my experience but with a grain of salt.

Bought this service for a similar price a year ago, wish I hadn't. Very slow in my experience.

I prefer using my free 60GB/month on Windscribe over this.

Yes it is. I used it to get cheap YouTube premium. They have India too.

I been using this VPN for over 2 years. Has always worked. No complaints. They have streaming VPN also.
How much is YouTube premium this way?

Reviews keep bringing up its shoddy and confusing privacy policy. Pass.
Their privacy policy is pretty damn clear. Those reviewers must have poor reading comprehension because the privacy policy is neatly sectioned with formatting and ends with a support email to contact if it's confusing.

All VPNs have this problem. That's what happens when you have a company providing VPN services to many users. To avoid the captchas, you have to purchase your own dedicated/personal IP with the VPN. Nord VPN explains it pretty well here:
