Probably the best PC deal so far I was able to find. Was able to get it for $1016.99, but my account was baned somehow, price is 50$ higher, but still the best. Try to check oftenly if 50$ matters, maybe you will catch the better deal on same gear.

In short you are getting decent PC with 3060ti, which is argubally almost same as 1080ti for gaming. Probably there is still some space for upgrade in future. For me i5 and ssd is more then enough to start with, especially with 3060ti. Card is LHR probably, not planning to mine or something.

Add to cart, then apply coupon code "WINTER10". Price is $1061.99.

You will need to manually add 3060ti and Shadow Black Plastic, Dark Chrome Logo with 500 W Bronze efficiency power supply

Windows 11 Home

IntelĀ® Coreā„¢ i5 11400 (2.6 GHz up to 4.4 GHz, 12 MB L3 cache, 6 cores)

Do yourself a favor and spend $720-900 on the 3060 deal or $1200-1300 on the 5600x/3060ti 30L OMEN deal. Skip this.
this is the best deal I've seen here regarding gpus, so of course slickdealers don't agree.

the 3060 ti is substantially better than the 3060, only marginally slower than a 3070. This is the best bang for the buck you are going to find assuming you can resell the other parts or need them for your build.
Everyone acting like the rest of the PC is useless I'm happy to take that i5 CPU off your hands.

xps8940? The only one I see on slickdeals with that is a 3060, NOT a 3060Ti... So not comparable.

3060 ti is at least 10% faster than a 1080 ti and more than 10% in many many games.
How much better than RTX 2070?

Unless you need ray-tracing RTX features, I don't think a 10% increase is worth it to upgrade from a 1080 Ti. I currently have a GTX 1070 and a 3060 Ti would be an almost 50% increase in performance, which IS worth it (in fact, I'm desperately trying to find at least an RTX 3060 Ti for MSRP - no way will i allow myself to be gouged by scalpers and profiteers even though I can buy 5 if I wanted to; it's the principle... a 3060 Ti is something I want but don't need) but only a 10% increase in performance and paying hundreds & hundreds of dollars for it? Forget it.
i dont think anyone is actually suggesting to upgrade from a 1080ti to a 3060ti, he just used it as an example of it's capabilities. the 3060ti is perfect for people like you or me, i have a 1060-6gb

I just jumped on this deal and would like to buy two 8gb ram sticks to upgrade the memory. I'm not pc savvy. Can someone recommend which sticks to buy?

That's right, but what I am saying is that even if you purchase 2 x 8gb separately that's going to cost $70 < $100. Of course if someone does not want to like the idea of throw away the original 2 x 4gb sticks they can totally pay that $30 extra.

(I assume you talk about 1/2 sticks because you are trying to say one can just get an additional 8gb stick even it came as a single 8gb stick. However I heard that even if that's the case, you might want to buy two memory sticks from the same model of the same manufacturer, even the same production batch or something.)
What 2 sticks of 8gb would total to $70?

I can't recommend a specific model # but I bought G.Skill brand for my current rig - typically cheaper than other leading brands and reliable. I use their DDR4 4000 MHz memory modules (yes, I live very dangerously lol but they run rock stable in my system with only the XMP profiles enabled and nothing else overclocked).
