Seriously, what did you expect, it was a one day sale and it sold out. It happens. I have missed out on countless deals here by being late to the game. Not a big deal. Get over yourselves and move onto the next deal instead of acting immature by complaining or being butt hurt because they won't bend over backwards for you.
Which is the best of the free phones?
Not only will they be locked to T-Mobile, but don't be surprised by the fact that budget phones like these slice and dice which bands they support based upon the operator which sold them. In other words, this is not the same phone as similarly named model from Verizon, and would have different capacity to support functionality on networks outside of T-Mobile (they're all probably 100% fine enough for AT&T).

Presumably the only reason the LG is on this list is because they've abandoned the Android market. Otherwise, it does not belong in the category of free phone and will surely go out of stock VERY quickly after this deal goes live. The other freebie Samsung phones are somewhere between cruel jokes and OK as a dummy device to run your remote control app.

Good luck!

I'm on simple choice and finally got it to work.
I ordered through the mobile app.

The key is even after following the provided steps, after you click "All Devices" you need to make sure the drop down at the top says upgrade device. The default for mine switched back to "add a line". After switching that, the rest of the process worked fine.

The app sucks though, anytime I navigated away from the checkout process, I would have to start from the top again.
did you see this line at order page? "your $400 credit will be applied as follows $16.67 off for 24 months"
because In dont, Im on Simple Choise North America

If I am not wrong I think Simple Choice is more recent plan than age old Select Choice. So from that perspective, I am thinking Simple Choice might have a better chance with this promotion. I am waiting to hear back if anyone with Select Choice has done these type of promotions without actually affecting their plan.

Where did it say that? No where during checkout (before actually paying) or even the product page for the Velvet mentions bill credits.

I remember the other deal with the a32?
several people bought it and then another deal popped up shortly afterwards and people wanted to cancel it.

If you are fine with paying off the remaining balance left on these devices in order to get the next deal and keep the bill credits, fine, I guess.
That's what I'm thinking. I don't mind the hassle if it's a great deal, but for something like, doesn't feel like it's worth it...

It was before checkout for us on Simple Choice plan which did not indicate Recurring bill credit $400
$16.67 off your bill for 24 months.

Both app and online greyed out the upgrade option for Simple Choice plan but somehow I managed to get the free LG Velvet using the app.

Promo on LG Velvet 5G worked for me on two lines on the Simple Choice plan. And I have been on that plan for ages now. Good to get my mother's phone up to 5G and she already uses and old LG ThinQ so no learning curve here. And one for me for using in the car or just as a back up for any mishaps with our main phones.

This is such a bad deal, a part of me wants to get it just because it's free, but another part of me is just wanting to pass because it's just a bad deal
keep us posted when you see a iPhone 13 free with no add a line and trade-in required.

Can you do this online? I've heard that if your line is eligible for upgrade, you can have multiple EIPs on same line without having to pay them off
Yes. I just ordered the lg online. Pretty sure I have a payment left on my current phone
