Best way to buy the Velvet (or other free device):
1. Open T-Mobile app on your phone and go to "Account" tab
2. Tap the big square with your line in it. It's ok if that's not the line you're going to put the velvet on.
3. Tap "Upgrade device"
4. Tap "all devices"
5. If a popup shows asking what you'd like to do today, close it with the X at the top right
6. At the top, be sure the dropdown says "You are upgrading a current device"
7. Scroll to the very bottom and find the velvet and tap it
8. Hit upgrade my line. From there you can pick which line to actually buy the device on.

Presumably the only reason the LG is on this list is because they've abandoned the Android market. Otherwise, it does not belong in the category of free phone and will surely go out of stock VERY quickly after this deal goes live. The other freebie Samsung phones are somewhere between cruel jokes and OK as a dummy device to run your remote control app.

I ordered white 2AM when the deal started. haven't shipped it yet.
The LG seems like a snappy phone on Android 11, although I did not really take it for a spin and put it through the paces. Overall a good deal, I'm happy with it as a backup phone.

Great close-out deal for those who got in (thanks OP!) but LG got out of the mobile phone business with uncertain warranty and service. I had LG G something model with leather back 4 years ago bought from eBay and all of sudden would not power up. Shipped to LG service center in TX with the serial # noting out of warranty but LG sent me a new replacement phone.
