OLED's are more than bright enough to display HDR and run in a bright room.
Those are just more BS myths put out there by LED manufacturers (and echoed by people who don't want to pay the OLED premium or can't afford it) to try to steer you away from a superior product.

As far as the blanket statement about bright LED Tv's. Most of the LED TVs you see on slick deals cant really achieve the 1000 nits of brightness needed in an LCD for good HDR performance

I have also compared them side by side and depending the quality of the display(LED) the quality of the content, where you are getting the content and the environment plays a big role here also.
All those things aligned maybe but pretty rare and overall IMO it's not a significant difference.
On top of that we won't have all these people complaining about burn in later also!
If you think you are getting the best performance from oled with compressed streaming compare it to disc using Panasonic's 820/420 which is one of the best players you can get IMO.
If you not using Apple TV 4K as your streaming device, you are also not getting the best streaming/digital content you can have IMO.
OLED's are more than bright enough to display HDR and run in a bright room.

Will they price match?
I don't know about Sony.
My new laptop's HDD failed after 3 months. Did not want to loose all info on it. Called CS and they told me I could swap it. I asked multiple times whether it would void the warranty. No, no and no was the answer. Swapped the HDD, but had no system. Samsung did not provide any recovery CD and wanted to charge for sending one. Eventually sent the laptop to service, which refused any repairs as the machine had been opened and the warranty voided...

I'm not a fan of Samsung TV's at all for alot of reasons. Objectively OLED picture is better than LED displays. you would have to ask yourself whether you'd be good with a smaller 65 inch over 75 inch. In most cases bigger is better, even if the PQ is better in the smaller one. I wouldn't get a cheap no name 75 and think its better than a 65 inch sony oled though
