Absolutely no one who knows what they're doing buys a 27" monitor in 1080p.
haha I didnt say you should buy it, but just referencing. I got in on the gamestop deal for a asus monitor that i think is better than this one as its 1440 at least

At a reasonable price, I would buy a 1080p 27" monitor, my vision is terrible so larger pixels are a must lol
That being said, my go to suggestion is definitely 1440p to most family and friends, it's only the older crowd that 1080 would be viable for vision specific reasons and ease of use for them
My opinion is keep looking and go for an acer predator or LG ultra gear. These monitors are really bad with faulty pixels. I bought 7 and 1 was good with no bad pixels. The exact models what I have. The edges also seem more dim than center. No 2.1 hdmi. It's just not great at anything. My old 4k LG was way better and it wasn't even a gaming monitor.
Meh deal at best, you are pretty much paying the ROG tax at this point.
The MSI MAG274QRF QD version is also on sale for $30 less and better in almost all aspect. This is one of the best 27" 1440P 165/170hz monitor out there.
