I got this some months ago. I was hesitant after reading the comments on that thread, but ordered it anyways. Glad I did. This is a solid treadmill for me. It might not be the best one out there, but it's more than I need. Also, there was no activation or subscription needed, just plugged it and it was ready to go (after assembly, of course).

I can't say about durability, but it's still like new after 4-5 months. I'm a runner and run at least one marathon per year. I prefer running outside, but if the weather isn't cooperating I use it for my training runs without any issues. I even ran a 15 mile long run on this. My wife also runs, and she uses it more than me, like 4-5 times per week.

For most Yes..But if you pay attention NO.
It encourages you to sign up for monthly IFIT or the treadmill wont start BUT......
If you just hold down the IFIT button it bypasses all that crap and runs as intended. Scares alot of ppl away.

Bought one about 6m ago both the wife and i love it, On our rec sister-in-law bought one about 2 weeks ago (bet she's mad now)

Oh man, lucky me, I literally just put it together yesterday. It is a good treadmill though.

On amazon they're saying a lot of things about locking you into a subscription, any truth about that?

At least mine didn't need that. I think recent versions are not shipping with that requirement. Anyways, there's a workaround to skip the registration if you need to. I was prepared to do it, but it wasn't needed. (it's like holding one of the buttons for 10 seconds or something like that)

I got this during prime day for similar price and yes initially when you switch it on it asks you for the subscription, but if you Google or YouTube it, it'll tell you that if you keep one of the buttons pressed down for 10 secs it bypasses that which I what I did.. it's been pretty good so far..

My Proform did the same thing - hold the iFit button for ten seconds, no forced membership required.
If you don't mind putting a treadmill together (they're VERY awkward and heavy) this is a steal. Otherwise get one from Costco or a sporting goods store that will have trained people assemble it upon delivery. No idea how good the Amazon assemblers would be.

If anyone's just getting into researching treadmills, I did so a couple years ago and landed on the Sole F80. This one here costs a lot less and I can't speak to the sturdiness or longevity, but the Sole is SOLID with a 22" belt. 2 years later it looks and runs like new. No subscriptions, just plug in a phone or tablet to keep charged and watch what you want and Bluetooth to the built-in speakers if not using earphones. My wife loves it and still raves about it. FWIW.
