What's the advantage of the unifying receiver? Wouldn't any of the other items you're buying to link with it also come with one?
i think those are the cheapest mouses with the unifying receiver.
If you lost your receiver on a more expensive mouse, that would probably be a cheaper way to get another one than just buying the receiver.

I have a Logitech keyboard and am still searching for a missing receiver. This would kill two birds with one stone on a spare build I've been working on.

Did you check both the inside of the mouse and keyboard where the battery are there is a space in there that the Unifying receiver sits, i was looking for mines and forgot i had put it back in my keyboard

I have a couple of these m325 mice and one of the receivers stopped working one day. I eventually grabbed another unifying receiver from another mouse and was able to link the mouse up to it and use it again. Been thinking of picking up another just as a backup. Pretty sure this is cheaper than you can buy the unifying receiver by itself (Logitech's site lists it at $15 and currently sold out).
Bought an M317 on Friday and they no longer come with Unifying receivers. The come with a solid black receiver which only works with that mouse. I tried setting my Logitech keyboard to pair to the dongle which came with the M317 but the Unifying software couldn't see the included dongle.
I went with the Logitech M705 which does come with a unifying dongle.

With the unifying receiver you can link up to five more compatible wireless mice and keyboards that's what I currently use.

I've not bought anything there in months because everything else is cheaper somewhere else (even groceries).
