It looks like the same size as my M185 which is small and prone to the double-click issue. But for $10 and including unifying receiver, I'd say good deal.

They say that M317 doesn't have unifying receiver any more.

Small sample size, but all of my Logitech mice have failing switches. I am having a hard time trusting they won't crap out out again.
is this replacement for m325 or a cheaper version?
The m325 has a tilt wheel (moves side to side too, usually back and forward) while the m317 does not. Also at least some versions of the m317 do not have a unifying receiver, usually the more colorful or patterned ones (at one point those were called "m317c"). Logitech's website does not mention unifying for the m317 now, but the pics in the store listing show the unifying symbol, so who knows. The m325 does include a unifying receiver and sometimes can be found for the same price.

I don't know why I wasn't clear.
Is this the tiny unifying receiver. There's a version of the receiver that has a small rectangular 'black' section that sits outside the USB port. Much less likely to get snagged or take the brunt of a drop. My laptop backpack used to have padding on the bottom. It's gone flat now and sometimes I forget and I just let the laptop drop those last few inches. I hear a solid thump and wince. Anyway not only are the receivers moving away from "unified", they've gotten even bigger.

I didn't realize there was a slimmer unifying receiver[amazon.com]. What is pictured with this mouse looks like a bigger one, if you do get one as pictured with a unifying receiver at all. That said, the bigger one sticks out maybe 5mm from the USB port, so it's not exactly huge. What is pictured is an older style[wikipedia.org] receiver. Logitech's website does not show the slim one, only a newer style one[logitech.com] that looks about the same size as the older style.
I love the M325 for the tilt wheel function to go back or fwd; the unifying receiver is a plus. We have four of them in our house all on diff machines. I purchased one two weeks ago from Lenovo's website[lenovo.com] for $13 shipped. I've purchased them for cheaper in the past ($10), but needed one in a pinch and that seemed to be the best deal at the time.
