I think this has been the cheaper it's ever been. However the lack of integrations or API are a deal breaker. Add on top of that the issue that you have to rely on them to figure out what is what on your electric network and it just turns it into a semi-ok device.
Got this last year, and love it. It's not perfect, but there in nothing else like it available (except the Square D Wiser Energy Monitor, which is just a re-brand of Sense).
Sense with Solar is is only $60 off though. If you want the Sense Solar or Sense Flex, you're better off buying the base Sense package and adding the Flex sensors separately.
Base Sense + Flex sensors = $249
Sense Solar/Sense Flex (same thing) = $289
I tried one of these but wasn't super happy with the output. If you're looking for more data and to use that data in something like Home Assistant or Grafana, check out the IoTaWatt unit[iotawatt.com].
Yes, you'll likely end up spending a bit more pending which CT clamps you buy to go along with it, but 14 inputs means more robust data plus software outputs you can define, built in logging/graphing, an open platform to work with any 3rd party software you might want to use.
Note: I just looked and it's unfortunately out of stock on their website. I've had mine for about 9 months now and am super happy with it tied into Home Assistant's new Energy feature. Also have various notifications set up for if things do/don't happen, EV charging costs tracking, etc.

Save $40 by not buying the "package".
Get the Emporia system, works more reliably without doing the hit-or-miss AI stuff.
