This one is instant, core from Costco is not. Probably pretty similar quality, but instant tent is a no brainer. So much better if you are car camping, I will never go back to a regular tent.
The Ozark trail probably comes off the same assembly line as Coleman. They are very comparable in quality, as is the core tent. I love being able to return things to Costco, but I have owned 3 Ozark trail tents (buying bigger better ones, no issue with quality) and I keep buying them. I think they are great for the price you pay. I have a big instant tent from them that is my go to car camping tent. I would personally never purchase another non instant tent unless weight was a concern.
That is true of nearly every tent ever from wherever. Usually user error. If this tent (and most tents) are set up properly, leakage should not be an issue.
I would choose Costco just for the easy return alone.

Joints in the picture on this one look like an instant tent but that could be wrong too ;p i passed on Costco tent, seemed to have poor ventilation despite price
It's not an instant one! I realised after adding it to cart. Just in case you are looking for instant setup tent. Otherwise, great deal.
Why do you say it's not an instant tent? The product description on walmart.com mentions it being an instant tent 2 times and looking at the photos it's definitely an instant tent.

The page I'm looking at doesn't mention "instant" at all, and there's nothing in the photos that would indicate that either. The "similar items" shows an Ozark tent that's "instant" which is clearly indicated in the name, and that's not the case with the one above.
For $58, still seems like a good deal for a casual camping tent. The "stargazing panels" look like they'd be nice to have.
I'd get the Core from Costco over this tent just because the rain fly covers a larger area over the tent. This one doesn't look like it would protect from leaking, however they both have overall poor reviews.

I found a review that said when the tent was delivered, it wasn't an instant tent, despite what it said in the description.
