Just adding to your observation for the people who need it that this has nothing to do with charging speed, only data transfer. There are both data and power lines in these cables. With 5a cables they typically will put smaller data lines to make the cables thinner since most people use them for charging. But cables with both 5a power lines and USB 3.1/2 Gen 2 data lines exsist all over the place if you need them.

We were referring to data not power. But the same applies. Long cables will not charge any slower if they are made properly. I have 10 foot 5amp cables that I get the same readings from as 6 inch cables. Always buy from USB-If certified brands with the proper specs and you're good to go.

Can anybody comment on what Anker's "new nylon" models are? How does this compare to Powerline+ and Powerline+ III? Based on bend life, it sits in between. But I'm not sure why this is called "new nylon" and what makes it different than the Powerline+ series.

Just FYI, the S21 has a max charge speed of 25w. The S20 had a higher wattage, but it was brought down on the S21 and S21 Ultra

I bought 2 of the Fasgear cables for my Oculus Quest 2 to use as link cables and they both have worked great playing pc vr games. I've played halflife alyx, skyrim vr and starwars squadrons with no issues.

The only downside (as a pure phone charger) is that these aren't the powerline models with molded strain relief. They will eventually break at the strain relief if bent often, but there is a lifetime warranty that's easy to claim.
